• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

This is a survival folder. Original Al Mar SERE.

Wenger Handyman. No question whatsoever. The saw is a must-have IMO, and the tweezers are incredibly useful. In a more urban situation, the screwdrivers would be awfully handy, and the can opener is great if you've got a can of peaches. ;)

Well the folder I carry Is a victorinox tinker. I also edc a old hockory paring knife in a homemade back pocket sheath
roy

Victorinox Ruck Sack without the corkscrew. (Why do they add the corkscrew .... mmmmm think I need to get this cork out of this bottle that I brought along??)

I can't begin to tell you of how many survival stories I have read where a man's life was saved when he foraged a bottle of wine deep in the woods. I can't tell since I have never read any:D

Probably my ZT 0500....once I send it to Tom Krein for a regrind it will truely out slice and cut any folder I own.

Paired with a saw/ax I would be all set!

My one knife that I would want is the Vic Farmer but the OP added a condition that the folder must only have one blade so my choice for traditional folder is the buck 110 and if I'm feeling high-tech I'll take my 550 HG.

Is someone going to summarize all our choices?

Driveby .... :D

Collector ... As for a summary of choice, Its sort of a bit daunting thinking about re-reading all these posts .... is there a correct answer??

I still love reading everyones comments ... ahhhh the fulfilment to have a blade in your hand, at your side or in your pocket.

Maybe the original folding hunter of Gerber.

Actually, this is just my imagination as I have no original folding hunter.

i know noone has really mentioned it but the bradley alias 1 is a killer knife. s30v, titanium frame lock. easy to shapren for me atleast. as long as i got my DC4 im good to go. or i could choose my griptilian. or buck 110. or oldtimer 6ot. or leatherman wave. or vic farmer. or...the possibilities:eek:

How many times have these come up:
1. Buck 110
2. Griptilian
3. Vic Farmer

Scaning thru the posts I think those are the most popular. Who wants to count?
