I think the next drop is already guaranteed at +$10? Only one color sold out so I think the entire drop was less than 900 knives. I can picture a weird, bizarro future where the first run Terzuolas are worth more because of the defective logo and acid washed hardwareBingo. I almost want one. But I can wait for something better. Or one of these at a discount.
Yeah, mine’s tan.Wow, that looks pretty good in real life. Is yours the tan G10?
I was thinking this was the case.... I bet WE accidentally printed a previous design of the knife or something and it was noticed during the QC. Still shaking my head about this. I was excited they were shipping early and was convinced we weren't going to have another Perpetua on our hands but low and behold....
As for those drops with Spyderco, I'm confident that given Spyderco's industry experience with sprints/LE's and their manufacturing capabilities, the product itself will be worth the long wait, even if the entire process is more or less the same as my previous two experiences with the company, which is to say "ok" at best.
I think your expectation for the Spyderco offerings is probably correct. However, not even Spyderco is immune from hickups. There was quite a negative uproar about the BHQ Lum exclusive not too long ago.
I’m not being apologetic for MD (at all), but there is a place for perspective too.
Just got mine in and I’m glad I went with a black one.
It’s a shame about the logo but overall I’m please. I still think this is the best representation of a Terzuola tactical folder to date by a production company.
For those that have owned or handled Terzoulas, they feel like beefed up gentleman’s Knives. Even the plain ones are refined. WE kind of hit that note with this release and I’m happy. I think this maybe a keeper and that would be rare for me with folders.
The action is smooth but not loose, the lock up has no stick and it’s perfect. The blade is nicely ground with even bevels and an even plunge line. The flipper tab has just the right amount of jimping.
Very nice.
I don't think that finished product is necessarily "bad" or poorly made based on the few photos of the production knives I've seen; however, I don't think that really addresses the problem of the way the company handled the logo debacle or the vastly different hardware from what was pictured/indicated before hand vs what people are getting shipped out to them. Just my $0.02 as an outsider on this one.
