I've also dealt with Hal and it was an extremely smooth transaction. He described exactly what I received, packed well and shipped quickly.
Stand up guy.
Removing paracord alters the knife?? How??
Seller should go on the Exchange and see how the good sellers write up the descriptions of their knives.......these issues would have been in the description......definitely!
Ignore list grows.
Hope you get tightened up by PP Hal!!

It's in paypal's hands guys. Like I told him if he would have contacted me when he first received the knife and said he would like to return it because of his stated issues then I would have agreed to it. Due to the fact that he altered it and it cannot be returned in the same condition in which it was received I declined his request. I personally do not dabble in paracord so I would have to send it to someone to make a new one. Moral of the story if you don't like a knife contact the seller and do not make any changes to it. Feel free to write bad comments on my IG and on here like you threatened to in your personal messages it doesn't bother me one bit. Contact info listed below.

No moral of the story is you tried to get over on someone and used a lame excuse to try and weasel your way out of your responsibilities.

That's a 10 minute lanyard at the most. If your that upset he cut the lanyard why not offer him a refund -10.00 bucks for the lanyard and 10 bucks is very very generous for that lanyard FWIW. Instead of a flat out no ?

Just realized I really like your work on here , actually was gonna send you a knife and can't remember if we spoke or not outside of a thread.

I'm sure others saw your work and liked it too , but after this I don't see your services taking off.

Like I said if he could return it in the condition in which he received it there wouldn't be an issue (never said he altered the characteristics). My facial expression won't change. It's just money. I bought the knife second hand on here and sold it in the same condition that I received it. I never had an issue with it and the only reason I sold it was because I never carried it.

LOL Look at you attempting to act like it's no big deal. "It's just money". I wonder if you comprehend how much money that you being a liar by omission is actually about to cost you? I see by your low post count that you don't really know how things work around here. If I were you, I'd stick to IG, because there you can swindle people (like you did here) without much recourse. Here though? We do things differently. Good luck having screwed yourself out of a bunch of business because you decided to "forget" to tell Hal Jordan about the REAL condition of his knife.

And you can't tie paracord? LOL Sad. Some "service" provider. What's the service you provide? Ripping people off? I'll pass, and now, so will a lot of others. Great job!

How much do you charge for your services Mattal? Because it sounds like you can add at least one service charge right here from Spartan to that $125 you're about to have taken back. What was that about money? :)

I expect items to be returned in the same condition in which they were received. Not too much to ask. If he can't do that then I will continue to maintain my position on this matter.

The good thing is that your position doesn't matter. Paypal will side with the guy who received a knife with issues that you, the seller didn't disclose. :)

What would be amusing is if Hal told Paypal that that lanyard wasn't actually tied on the knife, but the ends of the lanyard were just stuck into the hole in each scale. I mean, you lied by omission about the other issues with the knife, who would they believe?

Edit: After examining the two pictures in your thread, there'd be no way for you disprove such a claim. It's a good thing that Hal is a standup guy, eh?

You can maintain your position on this all you want but I'll be surprised if you maintain very much business on here after this.

You sure do like to exaggerate things. No one forgot to mention anything. I purchased the knife on here and never noticed/ perceived those things as issues. He messaged me and asked for pictures of things and I provided those pictures. I never once tried to hide anything or swindle anyone. Paypal has the message that he sent stating he removed the lanyard to disassemble the knife so that's a non-issue at this point. Anodizing is just a hobby for me and I figured I'd offer it at reasonable prices to people. Literally no profit is made from it because all the money goes back into supplies.

Don't sell defective products and expect a flawless one in return , like I said , a pm saying hey man that lanyard you cut cost me some money , I'll refund you the knife but I need the money for that lanyard .

That is indeed going to be the case for you. What you're essentially stating here is "If I work on your knife and cause an issue but "don't notice or perceive it to be an issue" then I'm going to act like nothing's wrong."

Good to know. I won't ever do business with you, and it's in Paypal's hands now. Having said my piece, I'm checking outta here. I will check back to see when they take care of Hal. In the future, I would suggest you learn more about knives before attempting to work on them.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume you spent the money too early . No way would any stand up person refuse a refund of a defective knife because of a lanyard . 3rd time asking to reimburse the difference of the lanyard is one thing and maybe a step too far IMHO but still reasonable .

I think you probably spent the cash and your throwing a hail Mary thinking PayPal is gonna side with you (they won't ) . What's worse is that little 125 is gonna cost you a lot more in the long run .

I'm still stunned that a "knife maker" didn't see several flaws in a knife. I mean cmon serious? You might as well close down your account move along dude cause ya won't get business here.

Not a knife maker.

If he wants to return it to its original state I'll issue a refund. Not to hard of a task from the opinions stated above.

The money stays in paypal until I hear back from the buyer. That's why I encourage the use of paypal goods and services and pay the fees.

Too bad this couldn't have been quickly reversed. But it must be a slow news day. mattal21 bought the knife second hand and sold it without using it. It wasn't NIB under their deal circumstances. No need to treat either of these guys as if they messed up. It's just a deal that didn't work out.

As an aspiring "Service Provider" your high-handed response and attitude is lame. A shockingly petty excuse for not accepting the return and not a good reflection on your business practices.

So if he ties a lanyard back onto the knife, will a full refund be in order?
