Good on you mattal21, this is how you build your name back. I'll be on the lookout for that 0566 in the exchange.
It has absolutely nothing to do with building my name back. I wanted the knife returned in the same configuration in which it was received. If he had contacted me and said "Hey, this knife just isn't what I expected and I'd like to send it back." and hadn't made any changes to it there wouldn't have been a problem but that's not what occurred. Furthermore, just because I'm a service provider doesn't mean I'm going to back down because someone threatens me with negative feedback when they are in the wrong. Paypal's policy clearly states that the item must be returned in the same condition it was received in to be eligible for a refund.

BladeForums exchange rules instruct you to be honest when selling a product. Horrible detent play, an f'ed up bevel and a sanded pocket clip are all major omissions, i.e. not honest. You may not have know about the problems but when I brought them to your attention you should have done the right thing. Additionally, PayPal protects buyers from sellers who do not deliver products as they were advertised or that are significantly misrepresented.
Making a stink about a dirty lanyard that cost less than $5 makes you look petty and shows the kind of business man you are. Additionally ZT won't fix it with an aftermarket scale on it, you will have to remove it anyway. That or try and sell it honestly. Good luck.
It's on the way back to you. Should be there Wednesday. I'll close this thread down when I receive a refund plus return shipping costs as promised. I won't be canceling the PayPal claim until then either.

Your rules mean nothing to other people in business deals; it just makes you sound inflexible. The only rule you need to know is that you have to bend your agenda, to facilitate the client. I made good money by bending to the rules of my most wealthy clients. They knew me as a flexible, non confrontational person. It has absolutely nothing to do with building my name back. I received an email from PayPal saying they "decided in my favor" which means Mr. McGinniss informed PayPal that he agreed to a refund I guess and Matthew did also send me return shipping costs as promised. When I have received the refund (shows up on my card), I will close the thread as indicated above.
Yeah, I'm still a little dumbfounded myself. I can't understand why a service provider, the owner of a business trying to make money from this platform and others would allow his name to be drug through the mud over such an inconsequential thing. Whenever anyone Googles Matthew McGinniss or TiSpectrum Anodizing this thread will come up. Like I said, less than $1 worth of paracord and around 15 minutes including watching a couple videos is what we are talking about here.

You removed it so it was your responsibility to replace it not mine. After you agreed to redo the lanyard I issued a refund once I received the return tracking number. On another note I'm not doing this for the money, on most projects I break even and I'm OK with that because it's a hobby. You can post my name and continue to act childish as much as you like Andrew McAlister I have nothing to hide.
Hahahahahaha, I'm the childish one because I let a piece of string hurt my business. You really came out of this looking great man, please don't ever falter on the principles that seem to guide your decision making when it comes to business, you are really going places. Nothing to hide huh? I notice your business into and IG handle aren't in your signature any longer.
Seems like this thread has achieved some very positive things. I'm not so sure much more can be learned at this point. Hal, my friend, it might be time to close it.
