JParanee: Is your leather wheel part of a Tormek or did you find something cheaper?
That's an amazing edge, I literally just sat here looking at it in awe. I noticed that the bevel at the tip isn't nearly as small as the bevel near the ricasso, is this because of the EdgePro? And does this mean that there is a different angle in each 'section'? Or is this just a misunderstanding on my part?
It's like that because the tip thins out a lot.
On knives with a more even grind across the edge it's more even.
if the tip was thinner and the edge angle the same the edge would be smaller
now if the tip was thicker pre sharpening then you would get that nice wide sharpened bevel
I REALLY want to do this to some of my knives.
I have 600, 800, 100,0 and 2000 grit sandpaper. I'm just not sure what to do with it so that I don't ruin my edge of scratch up the rest of the blade.
Could I wrap the sandpaper around my Sharpmaker rods and then just use it like I normally would?
Yes you can do that, it will work.![]()
