Member: "GotDogs" problems with a trade, member backed out after shipping knives

Why would you do that? Am I missing something?

Why would snow send you anything when you've basically told him that it's a one-sided proposition now?
 
Banning requires way more than this. This doesn't even require a minor warning. it is a business disagreement, not a rules violation.

I would really love for a mod to make a ruling on what constitutes the trade reversal rule. My understanding is that either side can ask for a deal to be reversed for any reason. That's my interpretation of "no deal is complete unless both sides are happy". Am I wrong? If so, what is the acceptable threshold?

We have a tradition that any deal can be reversed fo any reason. It is not in the rules or the suggestions explicitly but anyone ignoring it will not find the membership of Bladeforums sympathetic. At all.

Do everything you reasonably can to make your business dealings a positive experience for the other guys and expect them to do the same for you. When things go wrong, the cooler you are about settling the disagreement, the better for everyone's reputation.
 
Opinions in this matter will obviously vary.

Snow made a mistake that i feel was an honest mistake. Almost everyone here has had an infraction for that one rule that they failed to follow.

He also publicly admitted to that same mistake.

The fact is, I don't worry about what the person on the other end of my trade does outside of that trade.

The trade itself, was (presumably) clean.


There's lessons for both parties involved in this situation but apparently there's been a flip-flop by dogs.

Dogs is also notorious for sending nasty emails to people like a 15 year old punk throwing a tantrum.

ooitzoo, i have no issue with you or your standing in this debate because you only have good experiences to speak of.

My experiences we're not so good haha.

No worries. We're a pair of guys commenting on a situation that we're not really involved with.

That last email has shaken my resolve a bit to be honest. I mean...it just doesn't make sense to me.
 
Well, since I was composing my last post, the situation has moved on. Sometimes I wonder why I bother. Sometimes I wonder why I put up with the insults. Please yourselves, I'm out of here.

Precisely.

For the record that email is mere childs play compared to the stuff he sent to me haha.

I always conduct business in a respectable and mature fashion. Unfortunately some people can't grasp that concept.

I'm with you on this. I stuck my neck out to help out someone that I've traded with before and have a good trading relationship with (as I would anyone that I've traded with). But that last email makes me question the guys thought process thru this whole thing. Ultimately I have no dog in this fight (luckily).
