some lame joke about my girlfriend (which obviously he knows nothing about).

oh yeah, he stooped that low and i'm not surprised.

i had a feeling that a rational debate about this would bring out the real dogs.
 
I hope that the topic he made about me can get removed so as it does not give people the impression that the problem was not resolved...

Again thank you all for your time. Seems his final word was to keep his package and he will do the same with mine, that is what I will do.
 
My position stands, the name calling was stupid on my part and I extend my sincere apologies to the Forum and it's upstanding members. As I am concerned this is a dead issue and I will delete my posts provided SnowCrash and Four_ do the same. Again many thanks for a GREAT forum. John Ingram
 
Knives recieved, in stated condition. GotDogs accepts the trade at his end. Awaiting approval from other party in the trade so that this trade is a thing of the past. Thanks!! John

You need to go ahead and delete your posts, THEN ASK the others if they will too.

Just some closure, I received "GotDog"s package and the knife is in the agreed upon condition. The trade is complete.
 
Kill the thread, I killed the one I started. Thanks!! I also deleted all of my posts in the thread you started.
 
Mods, I'm not exactly sure what the protocol here is. I feel it necessary to leave this thread up for records but feel free to delete it if necessary.

(just to let you know, he is threatening to leave negative feedback, but I suppose that's his call)

Hate to have to say it, but I just decided I need to be a cranky old man and ignore the flood of sliming and whining going on around the forums lately. Maybe someone else can deal with it.
 
It's threads like this that is a good reference point on what NOT to do when conducting trades. So it's a good place to read and learn for the masses.

But it does still feel like World of Warcraft farted in here and left GotDogs behind for all of us to witness what not to do. *Eats a bowl of popcorn while learning free lessons from Dog's forum ethics*

I'm not surprised at your attempt towards making a thinly veiled insult, my friend, since your true colors has already been shown. The popcorn comment was a reflective representation of the comical entertainment you have performed on here that is showing us lessons on what not to do. And for that, I can see the community is thanking you via learning from it. As you can see, it wasn't about "brain food"...so observing you, I am guessing you didn't know that. May God smile upon you too, my friend.
