Mick Strider has some explaining to do.

NousDefions, you are welcome to your opinion. So far today I've had 6 phone calls from people I know and respect in this industry stating they had no idea about this, but I certainly opened their eyes. There are several posts in this thread stating the same. There are multiple veterans agreeing with me.

Furthermore, I've yet to see any denial or retractions from Mick Strider, the same guy who makes a big show of calling other people out for any percieved slight.

I've provided my service times, he refuses to. I've provided his quotes, his contradictory statements, and given him the opportunity to reply.

If you think nobody is noticing this, you are sorely mistaken

Kevin.....I just had an interesting thought. We were talking earlier about the impact this might have on Strider's business and I thought that it might limit the access to the military that he has apparently enjoyed in the past. What just occured to me is whether or not BUCK KNIVES is aware of these facts?
 
I'm not going to comment on what effects this may or may not have on Mick Strider's business. That isn't my concern, nor is it something I want to discuss. I simply want him to grab his sack, step up, and put an end to the lies, misdirection, and falsehoods that are being spread.
 
So I guess I'm a "Striderette"... funny how I am now thought of as part of some groupie cabal or cult-fan thing, since I posted some of my personal experiences with Mick. Again, I have no pony in this race. I don't own any Striders and I don't post in the Strider forums. I'm just one of many people who personally KNOW Mick Strider, and know him to be an honorable and decent man. I don't care what someone tacks up here in cyberspace... it's not going to change the way he's perceived by people who know him. It's not going to change the minds of people who have been helped by his generosity and good character.
 
Out of curiousity, what exactly would make you guys happy beeing that Strider isn't likely to come here and state anything new? Is it the goal to see financial harm to him/Strider Knives in lieu of an apology? I guess I'm not seeing that at this point as there are still many employees that would be affected if that were the goal. Seems harsh.
Don't much appreciate being called a Striderette just because I happen to like Strider knives, but so be it.

Some know Mick personally. Some know him by his good or bad deeds. Some know him by his kind words and others through his stupid writings.

None of it reconciles.

Whose fault is that?

An analogy for you. If someone stole $100,000 and through hard work, parlayed it into $1,000,000, would you let him keep the $900,000? I'm not sure what will happen or, for that matter what SHOULD happen. I know that this is an oversimplification, but the fact of the matter reamains that Mr. Strider has a achieved a fair modicum of success and relative fame based in part on some pretty bad misrepresentations. What DO you do in a situation like that? More importantly for us, what are you supposed to THINK, not only about Mr.Strider, but anything he has been involved with?
 
Kumdo, I have one simple question for you: Is it ok to continually lie about your military record in order to promote yourself?
 
I see no good in this thread. I have stayed long enough to read more bashing than I care to. Please remove me from this ite. i no longer wish to be associated with this bashing and trash talk. Spark you state what you felt you needed to. As far as the continued bashing , I see no need in it. Please ban me or whatever you feel you must do. I will not be apart of this.
