This is my last post on this subject, ever. That should please most everyone.

I have no use for rumor. I have no use for BS. I have no use for unsubstantiated claims. Never did, never will. My own military career, a very long one, taught me that if it taught me nothing else.

But I can tell fact from fiction. I appreciate the facts I've seen in this Thread and I'll ignore, as I always do, the BS that gathers around the edges.

I don't drink Kool-aid. I advise anyone who does to stop. It ain't healthy.

I do like Strider Folders a lot! In fact for the SMF is the perfect folder.
I think the RC is WAY COOL.

I can understand your point as well.

1. Spark has his reasons, and I for sure, can understand them as well. I have known Kevin to be a dork, but have never known him to be a liar or a thief. Really important differences, don't you think?

2. People often have unreasonable expectations. You have to live for yourself, and do right by yourself, and not worry about the other guy. I truly hope that Mick lives this way, and have spoken with him a few times. I DON'T care about the criminal aspect of things, but DO care about untruth and dishonor as relates to prior Service. That part dissappoints me the most, not Kevin's outing of the facts.

To those drama queens who requested deletion of their account: BladeForums does not do that. They trust that you will be adult, and simply stay away. But you won't.

I've known Mick for several years and never asked him about his military service. I've also never heard him to brag about his military service either. If you actually knew him personally, you'd know he's actually a really quiet person.

This is the good the bad and the ugly forum. All topics don't have to be about knives here. Find that on the Bladeforums general discussion or knife specific forums.

Seems to me I saw knives for sale once by Duane that looked for all practical purposes just like the Striders. Buy one of his if you can't justify the Strider. That is unless you want to hold him guilty by association.

I like the SNG folder personally. Its a fine looker but I could never justify the cost of it for being a production knife with a custom knife sticker price.

A question, sir, if you would be so kind. Let us assume for purposes of analysis that Mr. Strider has: 1) claimed combat experience either as a Ranger or some sort of civilian "operator"; and 2) claimed to have been considered for special ops deployment in lieu of incarceration. Let us further assume that these claims are not accurate. Would that be the information that has been "general knowledge amongst the serious knife community for quite some time"?

In fact, I think that this forum, its members, and its management have taken it as mission from God to denigrate Mick Strider, and Strider knives.....even Dwayne Dwyer has been dragged into this.

In fairness, the "management" has actively discouraged discussion of Mr. Dwyer and has not attacked the quality of the SKI product in any way.

This is sad, and whether expressly stated or not, this has become personal and vindictive. Sadly, this diatribe has only served to soil the reputation of this forum in my eyes.

Apparently, service vets take it personally if folks exaggerate their service record. There are websites dedicated to "outing" and criminally prosecuting such persons. everyone has to make up his or her mind about the significance of such misrepresentations as have taken place.

A serious point, but foregiveness does not mean that one does not hate the sin and point it out. There was this guy who did that -- moneychangers and all that. And confession is before foregiveness, even in that church (and there are others).

Hey beats me I like it here, KF's, and really like the JD. As for Strider b.s.ing his military career that doesn't bother me. His knives don't bother me as they must be ok as a ton of people buy them. Not his loosing the slander court case, that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that he did 5yrs in Lewisburg for a car jacking! That bothers me. Other than that everything is alright with me. keepem sharp

PS Strider has responded to this post on the USN. What everyone is saying here everyone is saying over there too only in the affirmative for him. Like I said my only conern is the car jacking thing. Weird ain't it. The only other thing I can think of saying as I have seen a few USN'rs on here is that there is definetly no honor in carjacking a vehicle.
