A US Patent is about as "protected by law" as it gets, but that didn't stop Tony from copying the 0777.No such thing as IP if it isn’t protected by law. You can only build a mousetrap so many different ways.

If the law didn’t stop him, it really wasn’t that great of a law.A US Patent is about as "protected by law" as it gets, but that didn't stop Tony from copying the 0777.
Microtech ended up having to pull their infringing product from the market. Knowing ahead of time that someone is going to violate your patent is not how it normally works. If the law didn’t stop him, it really wasn’t that great of a law.
Oh frick yeah!
That's not what this thread is about. Respectfully if you want to complain about microtech make a new thread.Microtech would never ever ever misuse another manufacturer's IP
They claim it’s a proprietary steel they worked on with Bohler. Supposed to be easier to polish and have better edge retention. Sounds dubious but we will see. Proprietary steels with companies seem be be becoming a thing with SPY27, Arpm9 and such. While fine steels, they don’t seem to offer much new.The steel is very intriguing. I’d like to know what sets it apart from “standard” m390. If they don’t ask belt prices, I may pick one up.
According to the SMKW video these will be available next month!
G10 $250, plastic sub $200
also (the prototypes at least) on bearings
I think Microtech is going to have a hard time keeping up with demand at those prices. Made in USA with premium materials for $250 retail is pretty impressive.
