Pretty much why I'm done working on production knives other than GEC and the occasional Case. But the Case can be frustrating too at times.Well now, there’s your problem.

Dare we ask which brand of knife?

Bona fide warp engine. Now will you bend it like Beckham?
Looks better!Winchester black box working on straightening the blades on two and deleting the pen blades.
I’m with you on that for sure, these are about case level quality I’d say, I k ow they’re made by queen, but I’ve never actually handled one on those. Some of the really old brand’s are very well made though like Dwight Devine Ulsters, but I vastly prefer GEC’s as well.
I did already, I just thought that pic by itself was kind of funny.

I modified a black linen 21 today—just need to give it an edge and maybe satin the blade finish more. I’m really happy with the transition of the spear into the handle when closed on this one. I realized today how working with new belts makes the job a lot easier than when your belts are worn out.

Thanks! I think I enjoy making the swedges most of all. That little touch makes a big difference.Nice swedges definitely makes the blade look like it’s supposed to be that way. Makes me want to find a cheap 71 and put some rat tail bolsters on it.
Looks good!![]()

Well after having "seen the light" concerning wharnclife's I decided to mod this Rough Rider shadow trapper. This one is particularly suited for this mod as it has double pulls. Redoing the swedges does give the "supposed to be" look.
I did have one booboo when the cut-off wheel jumped out of the groove I was cutting and scuffed the blade a tad. As its a user intended only for my pocket I can live with it.
62 split back whittler recovered in African blackwood and put the shield on the other side.

Ha, thank you. Yes it was intentional to put it on that side, I was asked by the owner to do it. It’s the original shield so I drilled the hole on the other liner to pin it so both sides were nearly identical so I had a couple moments where I was a little worried I put it on the correct side by accident.Looks awesome! Was the "shield on the other side" on purpose? I've done some that weren't, LOL
