Modified Production Knives (traditional only)

Awesome work going on upthread, gentlemen! :thumbup: Waaay out of my league! :D

Here's my GEC 53 - I made the spey blade into a pen blade. I've converted a few pen blades into coping blades, but since this knife already has a nice stout sheepsfoot, and since I was bored today, I decided to make the spey into a pen.

Fish Barlow WIP pics. Will have belts tomorrow to grind the blades as everything has been heat treated. Bolsters and liners profiled, bone handles pinned.....

Surface Grinding 101

Set blade and Spring at angle to grinding wheel for heavy stock removal (.003") to reduce heat and avoid warping

Set blade and spring parallel to grinding wheel for final dusting (.001")
