Mods, Regrinds, Cerakote, and Sharpening

Nice knife man! Yeah they look very thick... I will be curious to mic it and see. Let me know buddy. Cerakote is a 1-2 week turn around right now.

Hey Josh.

I just filled out your online Google Forms and submitted it. I will be shipping it out tomorrow. Forgot to ask but what colors do you offer in cerakote? I've stated to keep it gray as it is now but maybe another color would look better?

Also, I want to be sure the Crusader logo isn't affected by the regrind. I'm sure you already know this but I've sent $1000 knives to someone else and one came back without the makers name. Uhhh. Killed me.

Thanks man and talk soon.

I'll give you a call soon to discuss. These are the colors I have in stock currently:

Desert Sand
Magpul OD green
Forest Green
Magpul Flat Dark Earth
Patriot Brown
Graphite black (more of a satin black, most popular)
Armor black (flat)
Snow White
Sniper Grey
Tungsten
Titanium
Burnt Bronze
Crushed Silver
Zombie Green
Safety Orange
Ridgeway Blue
Crimson Red

^^^ Why did you have to put that list up man?!

Now I am back to knife shopping specifically for another project.....

Good to see you got safety orange in stock, and burnt bronze sounds interesting.
You should sticky an example of each color on page one.

(Either from a knife you did, or just from the manufacture's pallet)

I'm alright with waiting but can you order and Cerakote my Crusader H-402 Jesse James Cold War Grey and Cerakote the scale fasteners Zombie Green? Can you also make custom scale liners in Zombie Green or am I just getting ahead of myself?

Example taken from Cerakote Coatings.

Josh,
I got my Becker BK24 knife and over the last week its D2 blade has held up amazing. Thank you!

What I still cant grasp is how the heck you can get it so sharp. I have similar tools as you, yet can never get my knifes as sharp. You doing something very right or got some magic tricks going, either way keep it man and congrats on finding that secret recipe.

Best and thanks for all the help,
bigC

would you mind posting a pic of the bk24? I've got one I've thought about getting a regrind on several times.

Josh, what did you do to this one?

I don't have any pics... Maybe bigC does. I simply reprofiled the edge to about 15 dps then microbeveled on the Wicked Edge with a 1k grit edge.

Can't wait. Looks great Josh.

THanks,

Greg

Greg, here are some before and afters of the ones you sent me... got you all fixed up!

With a lot of practice bro, one day you might get good enough to do work like this.....

Haha very funny!!

Yes I must perfect my techniques for sure! Got a lot to live up to! Glad it made it in safely without customs taking it!

Josh - got my AFCK and 0808 back today; USPS was screwing around for some reason but they're here now.

They look awesome in person and I'm sure they'll cut even better! You did a phenomenal job; I'm pretty sure I'll be sending at least one more your way sometime in the future. So thanks!

Keep me posted on the cutting performance! I would love to hear feedback ;)

I been putting to use a lot both in the kitchen and on my outdoor needs. Crazy sharp still but I do put it through leather with .5 micron after using it heavily.

Totally understandable! Glad it's holding up well though!

Hey, I purchased a ~100 year old traditional knife off of the exchange and it's dull as hell despite being gorgeous. I do not have the skills nor the equipment required to reprofile/resharpen the blades. No idea what the steel is but the blades are 2 and 1 inches in length. If you could send me a quote (hand sharpening) and your shipping info to my email at petewk1@gmail.com that would be great.
