hmm, a Survive regrind. Interesting. I thought that they had a reasonably thin edge already? What was the before and after?

Sorry man I don't have a before of this one, but I will try to get you one of the next survive knives I get in... no, they are actually pretty thick edges (at least, the ones I have dealt with), especially after you reprofile them to 15 dps it walks the edge up the primary grind into the thicker area... this blade was reground to about .011-.012" thick at 15 dps so it should now cut REALLY well.

You can't do this sort of thing w/ a thin edge like the regrind I did and I will be the first to tell you that =)

Josh reground this Benchmade 9053 to remove the 1/2 serrations and put on a good edge to boot. Thanks Josh!

You are welcome friend! But to be clear that was an edge reprofile, not a full regrind ;) Glad you like it!!

Before pics of the Busse AD I just dropped in the mail for Josh. It's pretty darn sharp right now but I want it thinned out a bit better so it looks sexy. I carry it too much for it to be non sexy.:)

Got you all fixed up Greg! =) Going out tomorrow. I set the entire edge to 15 dps and the main part was set to about .017-.018" thick and I let the tip widen up to about .035" thick so you will have no risk of it snapping if you need to pry w/ it. The edge is finished at 600 grit and lightly stropped - hair popping yet biting deep when cutting soft material.

Josh have you ever done a regrind on a Benchmade Adamas folder? If so how did it come out and what would you recommend. It is my EDC knife.

Hey man! No not on that specific model but it's no different than any other. What is the hardest use it will see?

Just sent a Sebenza over to you Josh. Take care of her, she's the most expensive knife I've bought to date haha.

Welp, got three knives back from Josh about a week or so ago (excellent work by the way, thank you again) and I'm gonna be sending three more his way tomorrow!

Got my AD back the other day too and it's definitely been Sexified. Looks much better than it did and cuts like no ones business. Thanks Josh.

Keeping my eyes on this thread. Got a little Adamas myself. Great handle for edc but the blade is on the thick side.

Anything from opening packages to self defense. If I have pants on it is in my pocket. I love what I have seen pictures of I here. Thinking about getting some work done.

Cool then I would recommend around a .010" thick edge at 15 dps...

I'll make sure to post pics up the next adamas I do 😊

Just got back a GEC #92, a simple edge reprofile but I'm really pleased. A huge upgrade from the factory grind, well worth the price, I'd definitely recommend Josh's services.
