Voorhies bowie/chopper w/ a satin 220 grit finish

This is a Strider SNG tanto. I removed the hump from the spine making it a smooth transition, then added a swedge, and changed the tip angle to make it more needle sharp/aggresive. After the Cerakote application it was sharpened at 15 dps on the main edge, and 17 dps at the tip.

This is my knife...not only am I happy with this modification, but the sharpening job was top-notch, as was the customer service. I cannot recommend Razor Edge's work enough. Send in your knives people, you won't be disappointed

Just got my latest regrind back from REK and top notch work as usual.
The Tuff on top is a 220 grit grind and the bottom is a 60 grit.
Now I have 2 3V knives that will never wear out. [emoji106]
And thanks for the first aid items Josh. Thankfully I didn't need them this time around!

Lol yeah Looks like you got it assembled w/ no cuts this time!

Love that scale on the other one, where did you get it? looks very comfortable =)

Been staying busy lately, I appreciate everyone's patience!

Hollow ground this Kizer to 220 grit
IMG_20160711_222503-X2.jpg

Also got this Curtiss F3 in, converted to a drop point w/ a deep hollow and a hollow ground swedge! First pic is a before (not mine - pulled it off of google)

Strider SNG, reground to 60 grit, added swedge, then Cerakoted the scales and hardware

IMG_20160706_104950-X2.jpg

Also got this other Kizer in, a Ki401x1, gave it more of a nuked look w/ a tumbled/stonewashed blade after I reground it and changed up some blade features :D (harpoon hollow ground swedge, de-flipperized, and added finger choil). Now the harpoon makes a PERFECT rest for your thumb when choking up and using the choil!

And for those of you familiar w/ the Spyderco Schempp bowie, it has a "hump" on the spine to simulate a guard - I ground it off and made it look factory.

IMG_20160714_010740-X2.jpg

And last but not least, I reprofiled this 0801 to 15 dps and mirror polished.

Seriously, I can't get enough of this. That mod on the schempp is amazing. Not that the rest is any "worse". ;)

^^ Thanks Steve! It was fun doing that hollow grind for ya =)

__________________________________________________________________

Got a Hinderer xm18 bowie in that I converted to an aggressor type grind, leaving the tip a little bit thicker - especially since I sharpened the portion of the swedge that was seated in the scales  After the grind work was done I cerakoted it!

Got this Boker Anos Solo in that needed the spa treatment! Cerakoted the scales black then reground the blade to thin it out a bit, finished up the blade w/ a satin stonewash

IMG_20160706_104540-X2.jpg

Also gave this Emerson CQC-7 a spa treatment ;) bead blasted the black off then reground for some contrasts, also converted to a normal spear point and reprofiled the serrations.

thanks for looking guys ;)

I just wanted to add a comment on Josh's work. I just bought a small knife from the knifemaker's market, I could not get this thing sharp regardless of what I tried, probably a combo of the steel and chisel grind. I discussed my options with Josh over email and phone calls, mailed it to him and less than a week later I have a scalpel that would make a surgeon smile. Thank you very much Josh, I will definitely be sending more of my "difficult" knives in without hesitation.
