Probably get killed for this but no one has mentioned the cult-like following of ESEE knives. I am planning to get one sooner or later but are they really that good?

No! Those things are CRAP!!!

Just kidding:p They make really great knives for the price:thumbup::thumbup:

WHAT YOU TRYING TO SAY???

Just kiddin, they are just a great company who have a no-bullsh** attitude, with a great quality product that is backed up with a no questions asked guarantee. That and us cult members really look out for each other, people in that forum will give you the shirt off their back, if they think it will help you. Just a great group of people!

Now how about the whole use of the words "tactical", "survival", and "expert" in the forum?

Dinging a particular knife for being "too heavy" while praising another for having "good heft and feeling substantial in hand".

Recurves, WAH-WAHH!

Cold Steel, WAH-WAHH!
Folders with blades over 4", WAH-WAHH!

Please list and rank every steel known to man to find the "best" blade.

Be sure to get a blade with a good warranty!

My blade suffered a .00001 chip after batoning all day-BLADE FAILURE!

Maybe it was just a bad heat treat?

I whacked the spine of my folder against a block of concrete 20 times and it disengaged the lock! LOCK FAILURE!

Ohhh, that knife should not cost that much.

But how is the deployment speed?

Wait a minute, that's not very scientific! Therefore its flawed.

its good to know I have a knife that can cut up a tank-maybe it can cut itself out of the safe I keep it in!

If it can't spilt atoms, its not sharp.

But will it rust?

I love this place as much for the endless useful information, photos, experience, as much as the endless go around of the same topics.

Hey i'm new here and I want a knife that has S30V blade that was quenched in virgin blood with solid Ti handles that has carbon fiber inlays for $30.

:p

HUm, how many could fit in one post. Tanto blade Strider vs Sebenza. Which spine whacks better, is the Tanto useless? Are hollow ground blades any good? Which has better ergonomics. Should I skip both and buy a cold Steel. Finally which would do best in a noss test?

Don't feel like sifting through 4 pages, but one topic that always gets controversial is "knives for self defense."

Great point, J's Knives! I hate reading those type of posts as well. It's like somebody, who just might be able to afford a Honda, being told ; awhh hell, why don't you just buy a BMW?

I'm also sick of posts praising the Sebenza. It's reached the point with me, that even if I suddenly came into a lot of money, I would NEVER buy one. In any case I think they're boring looking folders although doubtless very well made.
I might however, sometime in the future, buy a model from another much praised knife line;Busse. Not because I care about Infi, whatever the hell that is,but because they have some huge badass looking knives.

I thought I was the only one that felt that way. So many CRK fanboys it's sickening. They make it seem like the Sebenza is the one, definitive, end all, be all knife.

No doubt it's well made.
