The reason is simple. The knife snobs cannot stand the fact that there are really good inexpensive knives.

How mid lock backs are allegedly impossible to close with one hand and liner locks impossible to close with your left hand.

edit: Actually this hasn't been debated enough, since a lot of people still claim this nonsens.

I need a super strong fixed blade with at least a 9" and 1/4" thick that won't break no matter what, but I only have $40 to spend. :rolleyes:

I need a super strong hard use frame lock folder that can really take a beating with at least a 4" blade with S30V or better, what's the best one for $35. :rolleyes:

My $25 knife is just as good as any $500 knife. :rolleyes:

Nobody should ever spend more than $35 for a knife because they are just as good as the over hyped expensive ones. :rolleyes:

What is the best steel for a knife?

I just got these two knives in a trade: a Smith and Wesson folder, and a fixed blade. It looks like a bowie of some sort and it has "Rezin Bowie" marked on it. Are either of these worth anything?
 
Right now in the general discussion forum there is a under 50 bucks tactical post and by goodness I swear it sounds like Ankersons post above. Classic, their still posting this stuff while at the same time being ridiculed. Amazing. Gotta love the internet
