Like others I got a piece when you first joined the forum, I believe it was buckeye. Unfortunately with me being in school, surgeries and kids I have not used it yet, however yesterday I did decide to use it on a free blank I got from the forum as well and give it away (if I ever get a chance to work in my shop).

As University is soon to be over I hope I will get on my feet again soon and purchase some of the blocks that I keep drooling over....

For the 6/11 drawing I went to random.org and picked a number between 2 and 47. The number of posts today at 5pm was 47 posts. Since I made the first post I started with the number 2.

The number selected by the random number generator was #8.
Dan Pierson was post #8 and wins this first drawing.

I have recieved wood from Mark in the past and the cool thing is The nicest peice i got was free. It really suprises me that you give out high quality stuff instead of the little useless peices. Currently i have 2 blocks one purchased an a free (contest) of the 40's redwood. I'll get some pics out when i finish.

I just recieved three scale of maple Burl in the mail today!! They are beautiful! Havn't used them yet, obviously. I'm heat treating a knife for my dad right now and plan to use one of the sets for his knife for fathers day.
