That's a thing with regular SFOs. BF knife usually gets a brand new pattern. As long as I know.

Also, I think I remember Spark mentioned in 2023 that there was already a negotiation going about 2024 forum knife.

So it's more like "Mr. BF Man, you got that certain pattern". ;)
 
Never tried to get a forum knife but since I joined the forum 20 years ago this month, I think it’s time!!! When will we know pattern etc?

The honest answer is we wont know until we know. The last few years each year has been facilitated by a different person and honestly we dont really know what discussions anyone is having with GEC at any given time. My guess is Spark will be doing it again this year, but when and what pattern we wont know until he announces it. Could be Feb, could be November.

GEC 72, banana bone scales, non-locking, crafted nickle silver bolsters.
 
A GEC full scout knife would be awesome. I want the bottle opener, can opener, and punch/awl with a bail on the #35 pattern.

Either that or a stockman #81 #82 or #88. Hell yeah.

Let's say it's a GEC thing.
Few pages back a bigger version of a Bunny Knife was mooted, well GEC haven't done a single blade 73 for a good long time and with Drop-Point it would break new ground for a Forum Knife, Smooth Bone too don't think that's been done before.
A 92 Talon single blade Spear, Rat-Tail, Barehead, Banner shield, Osage Orange wood or again smooth bone, all steel.
A 15 Red Micarta long pull Sheepfoot , Barehead, Rat-Tail all steel. Or you could make a Rope Knife out of it, using bigger chopper blade, but keep it minimalist, no bail, wood and call it Deck-Hand

If by a miracle CASE got to be interested.
Simple, a really good Penknife in Chestnut Bone, Amber Bone or Sycamore and not that Yellow Delrin- which is good but why not some decent bone for an iconic pattern?

Let's really dream on. Many of us like the Modern Traditional- Back in 2020 knifeswapper knifeswapper worked tirelessly to get us a) a unique groundbreaking Forum Knife b) under the most difficult of circumstances with covid shutdowns Mike got a European knife. It's really excellently made from Viper in m390 integral titanium bolsters and 1st class finish. He did talk about a Lamb Foot version using the same frame and this would be a welcome breath of fresh air, say Micarta and Ebony as choices, be a gasser! If Mike and Spark could get their heads together this could be really something.
 
I would not even want to think of Case as a choice.. And I am a BIG Case lover.. Probably 2/3 rds of my slippies are Case and usually carry a Case just about every day!!:) With their hit/miss on F&F I could just hear the ranting and screaming now!!! 😂 🫣 😂
