"Mr. Sandman, bring me a 2024 Forum Knife!"

How about reviving the #76 Outlaw and making everybody jealous?

Or a #74 Saddle Trapper, ditto.

I was talking about meaningless post made with the only purpose to meet the post ratio criteria.
Agreed (oops you caught me). πŸ˜‡
I don’t usually participate in these threads, but just for the fun of it my choices would be:

1. A small fixed blade
2. A small-ish fixed blade
3. A smaller fixed blade
4. A small knife of the fixed blade variety

:)
Darn I was going to suggest a 2 handed broadsword,thats a no then? 🀭 πŸ˜‚

The cody scout lock back is superb I only sold mine because it locks (England).

A dessert ironwood,federal shield,matt metal blade,would be a winner with everyone.

We could shake it up and put a scandi grind blade on which is ideal in the woods.

I've narrowed down my dream forum knife options to the following six patterns:

1) #93 Lambsfoot
2) #98 Texas Camp Knife
3) #93 Lambsfoot
4) #98 Texas Camp Knife
5) #93 Lambsfoot
6) #98 Texas Camp Knife

Of course, there's always the #98 Texas Camp Knife and the #93 Lambsfoot, which I'd be happy with as well.

I change my mind, I just saw the GEC 981416 for the first time and I’m in love! That please!
That 98 camp knife looks grand, having not had or seen one in the wild I'm guessing it is probably the toughest work knife gec has made,I base this off of the strength and solid feel of the 86hj and 35 cattle which I do have.i don't think I have seen one on the exchange in my short time.but I'm thinking for it to be a forum knife it will cost a pretty penny seeing the amount of materials needed to manufacture .make it happen,I'm game.

Why not just come right out and say what you really want?πŸ˜πŸ˜‡πŸ‘

A Texas Camp Knife in stainless would certainly be an all-timer for me. It would be one that would actually see use for me.

But I know most folks on this forum don't like the stainless as much as I do. I assume that somehow their sweat doesn't rust their knives like mine does.

I sweat a lot, but a little oil now and then keeps the rust to a minimum.
Hey! Hands off my patina!

I would love to see another run of 98s for a forum knife. Or even better, a 3/4 size camp knife.

Hmmm if we're dreaming I'll go again here. Pretty similar to the last response though...

1. Two blades
2. One Spring
3. Clip main and sheepsfoot instead of a pen blade. long pulls and swedge of course
4. burnt orange jigged bone (harvest orange, autumn bone, etc) or smooth natural or neutral colored bone
5. Rat tail nickel bolsters
6. 3.625" closed
7. Serpentine

Maybe a couple really far fetched ones....
8. Magnacut (hey why not)
9. Automatic main blade for s&g's

The last time I posted in this thread was about 3 weeks ago, but we've had over 30 inches of snow where I live since then, so it seems like a LONG 3 weeks. Just wanted to clarify that I strongly support the CANOE pattern.

#88 stockman, preferably in 440C with elk covers, but whatever . . .
If not a canoe, Jeff's suggestion of an 88 sowbelly stockman is inspired IMHO!!:cool::cool::thumbsup:
