My Knives Just Arrived!!! Just Bought 18 Knives for Under $200, Good Buy?

Quality over quantiy........Yes but if you are getting good quality and quanity then what?its made in china.

And you have nothing you own made in China? Look under the hood of your car, on the back of your electronics, labels of your clothes, etc, etc, etc.

Plenty of quality items come from China, and plenty of crap from the US.

I hate China crap is a generality that holds no water.

Bee L-05 Sanrenmu 704 will be on the next order if I like this one. Anything else I missed?

Actually, that is not true when it comes to many knives out there... Especially when you get away from production knives.
+1

There are diminishing returns as the price goes higher. I mean, my American Lawman($47) can do 99% of what my XM-18($660) can do.

Still, some people have their cars, some have their surround sound stereo systems, some have their watches, and I have my knives:cool:.

Absolutely true, but I would add that many high end production knives and custom that many people myself included have spent a ton on. Have not necessarily been of higher quality or performance than many much lower cost knives.
For instance I prefer my Spyderco Sage 2 to my Strider SNG DGG Digicam (I know it's sweet) and it cost less than half. I think it's a better made knife. No matter the price. But if price was not a factor and comfort for my personal use and taste nothing beets the Benchmade 940, except for a box of awesome China made knives!!!

If you decide to get rid of any of those srm knives, lemme know which ones you want to sell.

What's great about them is if I'm not happy with them there are plenty of friends of mine that would totally appreciate a knife and they ain't nearly as picky as I am when it comes to knives

I'm showing you all this not as a gratuitous plus (maybe) but more to show you how critical I am of my knives. I excpect allot from them. No matter the price

The Sanrenmu GA763.

It's like the original 763, but has green handles, not black.

Here's are a couple of youtube links showing the 710 & 763. You can see the hook/bottle opener when the 763 is closed.

Multitool had a great GB-704 review, too.

Well, since in both this and the trade thread you listed an Umnumzaan, a Strider, a Bark River, 2 BMs, 4 Spydercos, 2 Kershaws, 2 Cold Steels, a Boker, a Buck, & a CRKT, I think you are covering both quantity and quality. Keep on doing what you're doing and have fun.

I picked up a few SRMs and Navy knives, they were well made.

I predict that you will really like the 710, 723, 763, 909, and the Bee. Maybe others as well, but these are the ones that I like out of what you ordered. The Bee's have really impressed me.

Please give us an update in a month once you finally receive the knives from China. It's a tough wait, but it is really exciting to try out a bunch of new knives.

Actually, I'm glad I revisited this website (Exduct).

Just noticed the Navy K507. It looks like a response to folks wanting something similar to the SRM 710, but a little bigger and with a better grip/handle. Different blade style, but the steel looks great for the price. Not as big as the SRM GB-910, but the 910's a linerlock, and this K507's a framelock.

Can't find an available 910. At least with this K507, even though they're temporarily out of stock, it looks like they'll be getting more. It's on eBay, too, but it costs a little more. I can wait for the restock.

Not bad.

I have several expensive knives, and also a bunch of Sanrenmus.

In the case of Sanrenmu, you can definitely have BOTH quality and quantity. They are all on the level of, say, $50 knives.

My personal faves are 710, 763 and 939.

They also make good gifts !

I recently purchased a Sanrenmu 710, and I was so Impressed with the quality that I went to Exduct and purchased a whole selection of 18 knives from the Sanrenmu, Enlan, Navy, Bee and Ganza Lines. I'm really excited to check all these knives out. I know lots of you are going to say for $200 you could have bout 2 benchmades, or 4 Spydercos, or for $100 more a Sebenza, But I have tons of those.

What do you all think?
Anyone Else done something like this?

Sorry, I never did anything like this and not planning. certainly would rather spend these money on Spyderco.
Regarding you, do what ever keep you happy and hope that you will not regret this later.

My thoughts exactly

I only have one Sanrenmu, a 710B black blade camo handle. Wanted to see what the fuss was about. Good quality knife but it just doesn't "do it" for me. Certainly worth the money and then some but I have other brands I prefer. Hope you enjoy all your new stuff.

I think you should wait and judge by yourself. Whatever makes you happy counts, don't ask us.

I would rather get a heavily used Sebenza for $200, pay ~$30 to tune it up, and carry it for 15 years.
