My new Strider SNG......Interesting.

Well everything except a Sabenza being used other than cutting some rope. Heaven forbid someone use a knife in the way it was not inteded.

Wow they really put them through the paces. I never saw those videos. Thanks for sharing.

No problem. :)
Sharing info so easily and quickly is probably the single best thing about the internet.

Well, sharing, and finding new knives to buy. :D

That's like telling a soldier, don't even bother taking your beretta on this mission...you have your rifle.

Its about having a competent backup to one of your main survival tools.

No, that is like having you rifle and your M9 and choosing to use the Beretta to fight at a distance.

Nobody would use their SMF for heavy duty tasks when their fixed blade is at hand. Not sure where you picked that up from.

But, if need be the SMF could do more of the same tasks (as your fixed blade) than the Sebenza could. That is my point here bud.

Relax, no need to be so aggressive. This is not the place for it. Why can't people have a laid back discussion without all this ridiculous chest puffing BS? ENough already champ.

For clarification, the "your fixed blade" is the blade that is the primary to my SMF not any one elses fixed blade so I think you are mistaken with any chest puffing. We are talking about backups to your primary blade in a backcountry wildnerness setting.

You know you are replying to a moderator......

Rev is not just a 'moderator' he's a moderator who has great judgement about when threads are headed off the cliff.....like this one.

Maybe if the two of you could please stop the back and forth useless, and sometimes personal jousting, and get back to what this thread was two pages ago, it won't get locked.

I understand that there is a ton of passion for both these brands, but that doesn't mean that the blinders have to come on.

I was hoping to come back to this thread and what was a good discussion could continue, but obviously that was just never going to happen. Maybe the next one.

Anyhow.....

Carrying the SnG for a couple days and using it a few times on mundane tasks, what I am really liking is the choil. I have always been a fan of choils. The SnG seems that the choil is a first use feature not an additional feature. And the weight is nice and it carriers well. I do wish it had a deep carry clip. Even with my cost comments, I do not regret buying it and have acctually been toying on getting a CC or a GG.....even though I hear the GG is a pant destroyer. But a Seb 21 Standard is on my next buy,

Definitely agree about the choil feature and going to it first. I wish they brought the edge a little closer to the choil though. I hope you enjoy them. They cost lot of dough but you have some of the best knives produced.

:love_heart:

I traded my DGG straight up for a CC version. The DGG looks pretty cool, but yes a pants destroyer.

Doesn't anybody care about the basic DESIGN of the Strider Sng series?

I can't think of another folder like it. It is very unique.

I think that may be part of the reason why Strider can sell these folders at the price point.

What are you going to buy if nothing else similar is available in the market?

Only a Strider is a Strider.
