Need to lose some weight....who's with me?

Weighing in.

(2-17-14) Starting weight: 199.25 lbs

(2-24-14) current weight: 193.5 lbs

I was hoping for a bigger drop after what I've put into it this week but have realized that 5.75 lbs is pretty good for a week.

Ive been really puttin in some work here. When I started I was 191.....I got on the scale yesterday and I was at 180.1. Ive been eating right and hitting the gym, also Ive been going on runs with the lady. She is a marathon runner so I just run as far as I can and then watch her keep on going:D. I kinda like the view from behind anyway;). So ill run with her for 2 to 2.5 miles and then walk alittle....she will keep going for 10-15 miles and meet me back at the car. Every run gets further and further. Ive also had 3 people ask if im losing weight so I guess thats a good sign!!!!

Just got on the scale at 178.6. Started at 191. Still going strong!!! Keep it up guys. Great job Georgecatl

George and Matthews,
Great Job for both of you, keep it up.

I have to admit I'm not getting the results I'd hoped for or the one's I've seen in the past. However, honestly I haven't kicked up the activity as I have done before.

I lost another 2 lbs last week, for a total of 9 since I started. Not bad, but I usually did that in a shorter period. I'm currently at 186, shooting for 170-175.
I'll keep plugging along.

:D:D

Eric not sure how your going about it but I've cut out snacking completely. I only drink water now....and one coffee a day. I'm eating only things I make, no frozen meals or take out. 3 meals a day and two small snacks in between them, a piece of fruit or something similar. No chips or crap like that. I was eating Chinese and subs, pizza, fried chicken everyday for lunch and gained it quick, had to stop. Now it's salad, fish, veggies, grilled chicken. Whole wheat instead of while bread. Don't skip meals, eat at similar times everyday. Portion control is important, drink a glass of water before your meals and eat slow. Stop when you feel full. You should feel hungry before your meals. Not starving yourself but not overrating is the first step. Then pair that with exorcise and your golden. I'm no expert but it's working for me. Hope this helps!!!

Just changing my eating habits from stuffing my face to portion control has helped a ton.

Three weeks in and down about 8lbs.

Update:
Starting Weight: 285
Current Weight--Week 3 (03.01.14): 276.0

I don't know what the heck happened on this last weigh in. I even found a way to cut more calories out after my weigh in on 2-24.

I thought for sure I was going to be down around 187.0 lbs

I signed up for three Spartan Races this year, and in the process, you can also sign up for their Food of the Day/Week and Workout of the Day mailing lists.r
Nice!! I'm doing my third race (tri-state) this June!

Glad to hear all of you guys motivated about getting fit! And hats off to those of you who have already made progress! Diet is not my forte, and I'm still learning a lot about it, but in my experience, the easiest way to lose weight is to set daily macros for yourself, and make sure you dont exceed them. Instagram is 30% diet, 30% fitness, and 30% attractive women, so for those of you who don't have one, even if you don't post pics of your own, it's an excellent tool for learning more about foods, fitness, and health. Good luck to all of you; I'm currently down another 4lbs (5'8, 170lbs), and 5 weeks out of my first physique competition. Cheers!:D

Lora and Silas,
Thanks for checking in. Don't lose the faith, you are heading in the right direction. Just keep plugging along and the results will come.

(at least I hope so as I'm in the same boat ;) )
