Need your help

1. 3.625" Lg Sebenza for work, 2.75" Mnandi for home

2. General cutting tasks, used around 5 times a day. Never used to defend myself, but could be used for that purpose if needed.

3. Nine years old, just like my four brothers.

I carry a four inch blade daily, on very, very rare ocassions I'll carry a 3.5 inch blade, but never smaller. I feel that as blade length decreases so does versatility of the knife.

By the end of this week I will have used my knife for cutting open cardboard boxes, shrinkwrap, mail, sharpening pencils in the work field, cutting covemolding and flooring, hose, cord and loose strings, sandwiches, picked some slivers, and probably cleaned my nails with it. These are daily normal routines- Not outdoors or recreational related.

I began carrying a knife when I was six. I've been carrying a 3.5 to 4 inch blade regularly since I was seven.

i carry anywhere from 3-4" blade (often times a balisong). use for opening envelopes and boxes and cutting strings and thin ropes.

i started carrying about 9 yrs old.

The knives I carry on a daily basis clock in at an average blade length of 3.5".

I use my knives for general utility: opening/cutting up of boxes (marketing materials, product samples), cutting string (hanging banners, etc.), Food prep (apples, bread & cheese @ lunch & on picnics & at home), sharpening pencils the way *I* like them, camping chores, removing excess glue from repair projects (2 nights ago), splicing wire, trimming excess matting for framing projects (last week), or any number of things that defy the tooth & fingernail.

I've been carrying a knife fairly regularly since age 14, and daily without fail since the age of 21 or so.

I wish James Mattis were still here with us. He would undoubtedly have a most eloquent answer for this post.

My main EDC is 3.5" and I usually have a smaller 2" along with whatever multi tool I decide on for the day.

Like a lot of people I cut boxes and string and find many other uses while working around the house and yard. I'm also a volunteer EMT/FF and find lots of uses when working in that capacity.

I've been carrying some kind of knife since I was about seven or eight years old.

1. My EDC knives have blades from 3-3.5 inches.

2. I use mine for pretty much everything: opening boxes, opening envelopes, cutting tape, cutting string, trimming fingernails, cutting food (yes, I wash it after the fingernails!), etc. etc. And I like having a precision-made, beautiful tool on my person. It makes me happy.

3. I started carrying knives when I was around 9 years old.

Hope that helps,

Chris
