Negative feedback for kershaw1085?

There's been a million reasons I haven't bought/sold anything lately here. Stuff like this is ridiculous on both parts.

I agree he should have shipped....but honestly if it takes you a bit longer to get your knives It is called life. There are things that come before an Internet trade agreement, family and work come to mind. If work is a little hectic and it takes him an extra week to ship so what. It's not like everyone on these forums doesn't have at least 3 knives. If someone or their family is having medical issues (decently severe-severe) then an extra week or two is understandable.

I've dealt on other forums (non knife related) and people occasionally message me that their life is hectic at the time and they will need another week or two....fine by me. As long as I get what I paid for I'll wait a month before calling someone out.

It's a shame people point fingers so quickly here. That and of course the knife market IMO is absolute crap for selling knives. A little patience would be nice. I bet you receive your goods less then 2 weeks after you sent. Was it really worth the negative feedback thread and now 3-4 people won't trade with this guy? I don't think so.

Damn, you are on my no-trade list now as well.

Well, kershaw1085's logged in right now.

Left a visitor message, emailed messaged him and sent a direct email, asking for a tracking#.

I've been logged in & waiting for a reply for a bit. Nothing.

Gotta get back to work. Check back later.

I'll give it till the end of the day (5 pm) before considering this trade a bust.

Hoping you hear what you want, but Im not holding my breath for ya. If this guy has the time to log in regularly, though not inform you the status of this well over-due deal, then IMO, he is not a person with any sort of honor, such a shame.

Man is there something in that water around here lately? Seems like a lot of bad deals going on. To the OP, you seem like a decent upright person. Hope this works out for you. 3 days since the thread started on no response from the guy. Not very stand up.

Okay, at approximately 2:39 pm, I was emailed a Tracking/DC#.

Whew!

In my email exchange with kershaw1085, I said that if he followed through with his end, I would not post negative feedback. If everything gets here okay, I'll honor that.

I know this trade isn't over till I receive my stuff, but I'm relieved it's taken a positive turn. Looking forward to receiving the package. Will follow up here with final outcome.

On a separate note, I do want to add how great fellow Members have been, here. I chose wisely when I decided to join BladeForums. This place is about more than just knives (of course).

Thanks to the Admins/Mods, as well, for monitoring my situation.

Hey, if BladeForums does Knife Drives for the Holidays, where folks can donate blades to send off to our troops (stuff like that), or any other sort of Donation Drive, let me know. I'm in.

That is excellent knews, we will find out how excellent upon the arrival of your stuff though.

As far as sending away knives.....I have to draw the line unless the knives are shipped to me so I can "inspect" them first :D

Keep us posted, J.

Good news. I had a feeling you'd probably get your stuff. It's too bad this guy hasn't posted here to explain himself. This thread with no response doesn't really make him look very trustworthy.

Just like I said .....TOLD YA! If you deal with trusted people the extra wait shouldn't be a worry just a slight delay.

As for all the people that just crapped on me.....:jerkit: I've dealt with some of the better members here and clearly you aren't any of them. You just did me favors.

Damn, you are on my no-trade list now as well.

Good, I could care less. Thanks for making yourself seem so important.

Bill86 went straight to my ignore list.

Good. I don't want to trade with children. Grow up.

WOW I wouldn't want to trade with you either unless you shipped first and then gave me a month after I got your package to try and make it to the post office. If this was your deal you probably would be a little pee'd off yourself.

Then that's up to you.....I ship the day of payment or the day after that's just my policy, this of course depends on when the PO closes. Then and again....I don't have a wife or children. So my responsibilities are much less than most people. If this was my deal ....I ONLY deal with trusted people PERIOD. So if it took them longer I know they are well trusted and I'm not worried. I'm not a child anymore I don't need my toys tomorrow. I'll wait the extra week and give people a break. I've dealt with dealers and knifemakers that have taken what you people would call "too much time" and they ALWAYS came through BIG TIME. I even tell these trusted people "take your time, I've got plenty of knives and I'm not in a hurry". They always take their time and get my knives back to me better than what I had expected.

On these forums all a man has is his word. If you say your gonna do something, you had better well be solid and do it.

It shouldn't take any longer then a day or two to drop a package off at the post office.
If it takes you a week to drop your package off at the post office after the other party has already shipped their side of the deal. Well to me that's called procrastination, not "life". And if that's the case you really shouldn't be entering into any deals around here if your not absolutely good to go.

So 14 days after you should have sent the item you want to come in here all self righteous because a half a month later you did the right thing? Wow.

It’s good that you’ve heard from kershaw1085 and I hope it all works out.

And to Bill86- I wouldn’t be doing a victory dance until the OP gets his items and they’re as described.

It’s all about communication and kershaw1085 didn’t let the OP know what was going on.

I don't want to trade with children. Grow up.
Look at your post above and tell me who looks childish?

If your life is that screwed up or you have health problems so severe that you can't package and send a knife, then I may feel bad for you, but you shouldn't be making deals here until things get better. A deal is a promise on both sides--if you can't keep your promise, don't make deals.

I am sorry man. It stinks when you are screwed over by someone but it really really sucks when that someone is from the knife community. Hope the dude mans up and sends you what is yours
