New 14 run

Does anyone know who “Cripple Creek” is yet? Ironwood and buffalo shield sounds good.

I wanna say I read that Cripple Creek will be sold by knife works.

I have read in a number of places that the Cripple Creek SFOs are being organized and distributed by SMKW. I have an email out to them in an attempt to get official confirmation.

Don't get too discouraged.

This is gonna be a huge run and, with the obvious exception of the TC Barlow (No 2 blade?? Booooooo.), most options shouldn't be too tough to track down once they are released. The number of single blades especially, is staggering by GEC standards.

I realize that some retailers have managed to apparently "sell out" thru pre orders and whatnot. Still, there should be lots of "low hanging fruit" available that are super cool.

I accidentally reserved a TC 14 and got put on the standby list. For some reason I simply read it as Tidioute Ebony... In any case, I prefer the 2-blade 14 variants and am a little bummed that this Barlow isn't going to be one. I guess the silver lining being that if my standby doesn't convert, then I shouldn't be too disappointed.

I am rather excited about the amount of variety in this run. There are usually a couple of fellas here who are able to scoop up every variant and I will look forward to seeing their collections if or when they manage to score them all. I will not be one of those guys but I do have a number of them I am interested in.

I'm particularly excited, the more I think about it, with the Lick Creek Cut co. #14! Lyle is undertaking the next step in getting his own brand/business up and running, so I applaud him for this! Letting us in on his first knife produced with the "Lick Creek Cut. co" tang stamp! History boys, History!

You are making it awfully difficult to resist arranging a reservation on this knife, Perry... I might just have to send an email and see if he has any spots available.

I just know your 14 will be my favorite from this run! I just can't fathom why more retailers didn't elect to do a 2 blade version, given the vast number of single blades being made.

The 2-blade versions are king! I have both of the regular production Northfields on reserve, going to shoot an email to Lyle, and hope that I can snag one or two of the Cripple Creek versions.

I'm really only interested in the two blade version (especially the Lick Creek!) and I hope there will be some regular old non-SFOs available. If not, I guess I'll just dust off the old Kabar 1026 Little Jack. ;)

Considering that you can still get some of the 2 blade variants from the last run from dealers, it likely will mean that the regular production run Northfields (which are the 2-blades) will be available for a little while from this current run. At least, one can hope...

I am really curious what the Bone option is going to be for the regular Northfield, I hate that they keep us in the dark until they are practically making them.

I hope so. It blew me away how quickly the reserves came and went. I'll never stop chasing the dragon though!

I agree with Dylan! There's a real chance that all the excitement (GUILTY!) over the SFOs, is only the beginning of the fun.

Hmm...just checked the production schedule. I didn't realize that the Tidioutes were all single blades. :(

Well I notice that so many of us porch dwellers have the same taste. I to have a reserve in on Barry’s SFO. All us great minds think alike. :p So many other choices it’s going to be hard. I was up north and missed out on all Mikes reserves. I sure am hoping to score a TC. I am interested in the brown jigged bone from cripple creek. And I’ll probably look to score at least one Northfield from regular production. What fun this is.

Not sure if this has been posted yet but I confirmed today that SMKW is handling the Cripple Creek SFOs but will not be offering a reserve system unfortunately. They promised to keep us updated as it gets closer to release. I really don't like having to deal with drops but they are offering some two blade versions I would make an exception for :)

Awesome, thanks for the confirmation. They never did get back to me in regards to my own inquiry.

Just got word from Frank at ClassicCutlery that his SFO, (Old Man shield) is nearly sold out!!
Pretty sure all sold out...the pre order link is gone now. Glad I got in on that one.

I saw it asked but can't find it now where someone was wondering if the stag Cripple Creek knife would have a shield. I heard from Frank, of Frank's Classic Knives", that the Cripple Creek Stag knife will have a Buffalo shield. Just thought I would pass it along. Personally, I think a two-bladed stag knife with that cool shield will be a winner.
