New 2015 ZT lineup

So I was trying to reason out why ZT didn't put a deep carry clip on the 450. Pretty sure it's to show off the red spacers when in your pocket, which totally ruins the small discreteness aspect of the design. *shrug* I still want it. Just wish it had thumbstuds and a deep carry clip.

Might want to check model number before you order
 
Yea the clips on both the 0450 and the 0452CF are turnoffs for me. I certainly prefer deep carry, so the 0452CF is alright. However, I truly fell in love with the clip from the 0562. To me, that's the best clip design I've ever seen on a folder. Especially because I'm a lefty. I really wish they would've stuck with that style of attachment (whether or not they kept the actual clip aesthetic) for these new models. It makes for a true "deep carry".

Looks like a 560 clip may fit. Only one way to be sure.

LOL. Good catch! By the way, if ZT ever created a knife that was fit for deep pocket carry, it's the 0450. The first thing I intend to do with mine is take the clip off of it. Problem solved! :)

Pricey option, that CF scale. How much do you think that would run you?

My sense is that those who are looking for a lightweight ZT with a CF scale would be better off considering an 0770CF. KVT notwithstanding, there's nothing in the new lineup I find more intriguing than the 0770CF. And, of course, the 0770CF has the added advantage of being available for sale right now in several versions all of which employ premium alloys (Elmax, M390, M4).

I can't help but wonder if Knifecenter jumped the gun, particularly as I've yet to see preorders for ZT's new models open up at any other ZT dealers including the Kershaw guy himself. :confused:

That is what they do. The only saving grace is they dont charge a down payment. And if they never get it it doesnt hirt them. Knifecenter is always the first to start a preorder because they know the line will stretch around the block.
