What do people NOT like about the 4.7? I think it's turning out to be one of the best designed mid-sized general purpose knives out there for me. I have prettier knives, I have knives more specifically tailored to certain tasks, but I think the only knife competing with it as a mid sized utility knife that I own is the CPK FK. Some don't like the jimping and some don't like the blade finish from what I can tell. I like the jimping and I don't care about the finish, but that's just me. Other than that.. what do you guys think could be improved upon?
2] Sheath option upgrades at the pre-order stage for a loop or dangler, maybe an S/K! logo on them would be a nice touch as well.

kurpak, congratulations! Sweet pic! I love the lanyard and the orange looks so good. Makes me want to order extra handles!
When did you order?
I only just "discovered" survive knives a few weeks ago, stumbled across this one second hand. Paid out the nose for it but better than waiting over a year!I had no idea they were so hard to get.
I've got a whole drawer full of barkies, fiddlebacks, kosters etc. but I can see what the fuss is about with these knives, easily my favorite at the moment. I think the design, materials, steel, and execution make these worth twice the price (to me.)
"What do people NOT like about the 4.7?"
My only nit is I find myself fighting the front of the finger pocket a little bit, my index naturally want's to ease up closer to the blade when gripping the knife, but the bottom of the guard locks my finger rearward a few mm, if that makes sense. I'm used to more bushcraft style knives where the handle transition ends closer to the blade (aurora). This is pretty minor though, when my brain gives in to the ergos it feels greatOther than that, love it!
I do prefer the tumbled finish over the peened but the 4.7 is my favorite mid size knife, it's all about the handle shape for me.
For an improvement though, a couple of thoughts for all gso's in general.
1] At the time of pre-ordering it would be a nice option to be able to order extra scales and/or hardware.
2] Sheath option upgrades at the pre-order stage for a loop or dangler, maybe an S/K! logo on them would be a nice touch as well.

No disrespect to you or Chiral intended, you both make excellent products as does Sagewood and others.
Just thought it would be a nice, tidy all at once way to go when ordering in advance. One stop shopping-
I forgot how comfortable these are. Hopefully yours will show up soon!Congrats STD!! They are great knives. I am looking forward to getting my 3v 4.7 soon!!
You're welcome bud! They're pretty close in size, but the 4.7 is a little more comfortable.Looks great Standard! Thanks for the comparison picture with the 4.1 too. I am so ready for the 4.7, ha! Thanks for tiding me over.
Thanks bud! I have a feeling this will get it's turn on the belt every so often, but it'll never replace the 4.1. It's definitely a keeper though!Congrats Standard !!! Once I got my 4.7 it became my favorite Survive! Knife , I let go of my old spec 4.1 and new spec 5.1 but I do have sellers remorse !!
