You're gonna love that Phatbob, they are a good pocket folder, plus, that blade shape is a slicing fiend. I been meaning to get me one, but the one's I've used, for the money, can't be beat. They have some heft to them, but the micarta handles gives it a great look.

I didn't like the looks of the cutout either but now i don't even notice. Like moose said, excellent slicer. On the heavy side, very smooth action. Feels very solid too.
Deploys very fast with a flick of the thumb, there's some resistance that builds up and flings the blade put when deploying.

I also really like the jimping!

Overall one of my favorite folders. You will love it as long as you don't mind a heavier knife! Hope that helps.
 
I've been thinking of getting one of the johnson adventure piggybacks, not because I need it but because I like the way it looks. Somehow I doubt it would be as stout as my remora though.

Does anyone through their hatchets? I've got my old Plumb scout hatchet that throws rather well, but I like heavy.

Yeah, leather handled, steel shaft ESTwing. Thing is a complete thrower, and like , $12 at Lowe's.

No, I couldn't find it. It was the old VHS type to boot. I could have cut it digital, but I can't find it. I did find some other home videos I been looking for though. :D
