Is this guy worth $80? What exactly is it? I don't know much about the older bk2s

Yeah man, swoop that thing up.

FAL'ER, nice ESEE-4, did the kydex come with it or is it custom? On an unrelated note, I posted a visitor message on your profile, do you hate me or why didn't you answer? :D

Sorry dude, Yeah I saw that and got busy doing other stuff, just plain forgot. That was a question on rendering the tree sap down into glue. pretty easy really, get it really hot and pour it over some cheese cloth to take out the impurities. Keeping it hot, dip a stick into it. pull it out and let it dry for a minute or two, then dip it again, let dry. Keep repeating that until you have a bunch of layers on there.

I've heard of adding other ingredients to make it better, I didn't do that. This was my first try so maybe I'll do some more research into it.

Now that ESEE 4 was a complete package used ( not really) for $85.

I'll try it sometime this week, probably this weekend (might do an overnighter fri-sat), I'll experiment with charcoal and rabbit droppings. Both ingredients are dried, crushed to a fine powder and then added to the hot pitch. This creates a very thick, black substance which can be rolled onto a stick (scoop some up with a stick, roll it around on a flat stone to even it out). The advantage of this method is that the glue is less sticky on the hands and other "cold " objects, so you should heat the surfaces prior to gluing. Some say the fibrous material from the rabbit droppings makes it almost like epoxy and glass fibers.

Traded my Ka-Bar grivory out for some good ol Camillus grivory on my BK2 and my BK9, both Ka-Bar era. They fit fine, but as you can see the Camillus grivory is a bit much for the Ka-Bar sheath.

Did some hiking and scouting for potential river camp sites on the Big South Fork the last couple of days. Getting some chill in a motel room tonight, will post some pics when we get home.

I backed out on that cinci bk2 for $80. Just found out im getting screwed through school again this year. I may have to sell of the rest of my knives including beckers and guns and whatever else I got laying around to pay for it. Fml and f the govt too

Think I've got a good trip scouted Busket. Put in at Blue Heron (below Devil's Jump), 24 miles of river. Some class ones, a couple of borderline class twos, and one certified class two. No portages and some killer camp sites.

Like Moose said, piece of junk. :p Offer the guy $50. Better yet, send me his email, and I'll take it off him for $65. I'm a giver that way. :D

per guyons advice i brought 10 pounds of water for every pound of body weight to the canyon.

it was heavy but worth it! :D

clich, honestly, you could likely flip it and make some money for school. Not much risk you'd get burnt and lose money.

O I know. Prob is I don't think id be able to sell it when it got here. And also after filling in my wife on the current situation, my checking account now has the worst kinda chastity belt protection. I know its only 80p bucks but I don't even want to risk it getting lost in the mail, being a fake, or getting destroyed before I could flip it. Its how my luck is going lately and buying it would be flipping the bird to fate and that's playing with fire.
