New Dual Survival Personality is no Longer a secret

Lots of whining in the show tonight. Not sure these guys are going to mesh well. I personally miss Dave and the chemistry that he and Dave had.

I don't think there's the same chemistry as there was with Dave. Cody seems more combative to suggestions. They both seem combative. Cody was just a little bi*ch at tonight's show. Joe: "Cody! Jump!". Cody: "Would love to Joe!. How high?"

Two Alpha Males. Who can win ?
Will the show season stop because one of them will die ?
Suspense, suspense.
Will we see episode 10 ? Danger lurks everywhere. Snakes, antigunners, socialists, non-combatants at the TV-sets.
I bet my money on the snakes...

I finally gave in and googled an episode last night on the computer (I have mentioned that I do not watch tv). I'm not sure if it was the latest episode being discussed here, "Mars on Earth" I think it was called. It was instructional to me in it's many illustrations at how to fail at survival. Before watching the episode, I watched the two "fluffer" short films, "Cody on Joe" and "Joe on Cody". If you have any interest in the show and it's script dynamics, I suggest you watch these two short "interviews" if you have not already. They gave a pretty good overview of the basis for the conflict scripting. The episode itself seemed to me to confirm my opinion that, at least with this single episode I watched, the "Dual Survivor" show was as scripted and contrived as the episodes of the Bear Gryllis shows I have seen. I would not wish to be stuck in an unscripted survival situation with either of these guys. Nor would I be inclined to buy their various signature products or attend one of their "survival schools" any more than I would Tom Brown Jr.'s.

I hear Cody faunt his Phd on Season 3/Episode 2. Most people don't do that unless they are pushed.

Added: But I just checked. He has no PhD.

What is a faunt? Flaunt maybe? A brief peek at his bio shows he holds two BA (Batchelor of Arts) degrees, one in "Depth Psychology" and one in "Holistic Therapies", both from Prescott College (1988-91), not a PHD in Physics or a related field.

So far this season, the show is not working very well. There is too much head butting to make it entertaining. If it continues, the show will die.

I finally got around to watching the first two episodes of season three yesterday. They were ok I guess but I liked it better with Dave. I will predict that this is the last season for Dual Survival.

I have to agree, Dual Survival was my second favorite after Survivor Man. No it was never perfect, but it was still better than most. The fighting between Cody and Dave was more friendly and never dragged out. Now its constant and takes away from the show IMHO. I too think this will be the last season of the show unfortunately. Its a shame that networks can ruin a good concept.

In the past shows when Cody and Dave did disagree, eventually one would give in and compromise. In the last show when Cody and Joe were debating on whether to sleep in a tree or not, they was no compromise so they each slept in different areas which in not teamwork but more like two seperate ego's at work! I thought they are suppose to work together? Didnt look like it to me!

I watched that African game preserve video last night. Yes, Lundin did plainly state that he had a Doctorate degree, a PHD, to bolster his opinion.

I don't think he was literally claiming to have a PHD............

It was an 'off-hand" remark to emphasize his opinion - not to state he actually has a PhD..... Kinda like anyone who makes an exaggeration ("It's a million degrees in here") to emphasize a point - something along those lines.

In that case, I am a SEAL-RECON-SNIPER-DELTA-GREENBERET-AIRBORNE-RANGER high-speed low drag dude. Not really, but it emphasizes my point. :)
