New Dual Survival Personality is no Longer a secret

It is a knife of his design made by TOPS. You can google it and locate it easily.

SURV TAC 7 by Tops sold only on Teti's website for $300 and he don't take checks.

The one in the New Mexico episode only had 3 hook (almost gut hook type) saw portions on it near the front. It was not the Surv Tac 7. I had already found that one and ruled it out.

I'm still pretty sure, that the knife he used in that episode, at least to butcher the cow carcass, was a TOPS Firestrike.

He has used the TOPS Hawke's Hellion in one I believe and he has also used the Anaconda designed by Ron Hood for TOPS in at least 2 episodes.
Here's the Anaconda though he may have had the 9" blade version, I'm not sure

Well now that I looked up the Surv Tac I realized it might have been that and not the Hawke's Hellion I saw Joe use a few weeks ago. He obviously favors a more tactical style survival knife that can really take a beating, hence all the 1095 and micarta knives he chooses, simple and durable.

Joe and the rattlesnake was some of the funniest stuff I have seen. He made such a big deal of the snake. All you need is a stick and a good wack behind the head... dead snake. Bet if he had an AR he would have opened up on it and then said something about destroying meat. The snake demonstrated a huge hole in his outdoor skills and experience.

Each episode I watch this season makes me like last season better. The same goes Joe Teti vs. Dave Canterbury. I think Dave has a greater knowledge base and more importantly a greater passion and aptitude for actual teaching. Joe makes Dave look downright humble and that's saying a lot.

This season seems more contrived and well, stupid. I think the this show officially jumped the shark when Mr. Teti whipped out his knife and killed the boar in Hawaii. WTF ?!? Did you see that crazy look and body language he had right after? Was that acting or did he go to his special "killing" place?

First I like Dave, I thought he brought allot to the show. I knew that his background was BS or had a clue, but overall I like the fact that he was just a regular guy who took it on him self to use the same tools we have to learn and teach. His lie was a poor choice and as he said he regrets it. He never mentioned it during the video or the show it was just something he used to get on the show. Yes I fault him for it but don't think it makes his teachings any less valid.

Cody is great, but he is also far more extreme then most people will ever want or need to go.

Joe is OK , I hold his service in high regard and yes he probably is a true badass. With that said he kinda sucks as a survival teacher, as he said during the show he has never done allot of the things he is teaching. He is over dramatic for the show, the snake , the fish.

The show itself is starting to loose a bunch of appeal to me, I have better adventures on the weekends. Its so staged that its had to take seriously, they are having to act more to keep it entertaining.

I don't care for Dave at all but I agree with you. Seems the show is now about what dumb thing Joe decides to do while throwing priorites to the wind and Cody rolling his eyes and laughing while he does it. The stuff he does reminds me of Grylls. Maybe it's a military thing?

I can't see Cody doing too many more seasons. I think he's more fed up with these guys than I am.

Cody is in it for the money just like the rest. As long as he is getting paid well, he'll stick with it. And people will watch whether to learn something or to be entertained by his antics. Personally, I waiting for him to suffer a serious debilitating foot injury while complaining about his costar taking risks that endanger him

Used to date a girl whos dad was Recon marine triple threat and then some. He done every training that he could join. From the seals to halo to green barets and a few others. First off he never talked about anything. Only twice he mentioned anything about his past. Once when I asked him about survival, he said they were not trained to survive in the sense I'm thinking off. They were trained to do a mission with the focus on that mission. Survive to complete the mission not play in the woods.
When I mentioned that he is the only ex military I know who don't own any guns. He said if he needs a gun he would just take my or anyone else gun he wants.
In a way I can see how Joe thinks about getting things done not so much common sence of survival. But damn he acts like a drama queen always complaining and yes killing that pig and sitting on top of it looking around made me laugh.. Every ant hill he comes across becomes mount Everest. He just takes his acting way too far till its funny to watch him. Every time he makes a dicision about anything there is a 2 min talk about his background. I might be slow and stupid but I got it already he is EX COMMANDO no need to repet it 5 times each show.

I guess we'll see who gets hurt badly first. I'd bet it's not Cody.

Yeah I find that annoying too.

Come on you got to laugh every time the narrarator says that in his intense hype voice. It cracks me up everytime. I watch the show but it is becoming the next bear grylls. still laughing cause im hearing the narrator in my head now. lol

I watch it when I'm not irritable. But more and more it seems like the know-it-all, bossy boy and the hesitant, shoeless hippy show. The narrator adds an element of ridiculousness only rivaled by Wile E Coyotes tenacity.

I think it would be great to have Cody, Les and And Andrew Zimmerman togher on a week long survival. Or stick him with one of the two for a few shows. In a way it would be boring as no one going to jump of cliffs stab boars with a spear or do anything stupid like bear. But you know they are not going to starve for a week with Andrew around. Besides Zimmerman has the best personalty to keep us all coming back and I bet there would be more survival how to and common sence then all others put togher. Andrew would have to try everything they do him self.
One of the most fun survival shows I seen was with Andrew on that island. He never plays the macho man to impress anyone. he just made it fun and enjoyed it. I bet with all his travels he picked up more ideas and how to then most people out there. He always joined the guides on the adventures.
Well its was a thought for a great show. Who else is with me???

Agreed. I am very disappointed with this new season. I had such high hopes. We go Cody and an actual SF solider. Can't go wrong I thought! Too much focus on bickering. It seems more obvious there is a script not that I thought there wasn't one. The dramatic music has become annoying. Seems Cody has developed an attitude.

My feedback to the Disco Channel would be:

1. Lower the frequency of drama (bickering).
2. Focus more on demonstrating skills.
3. Knock off that darn dramatic music.
4. Show more cooperation.
5. Don't make it so obvious the show is scripted. At least make an attempt to fool me.

My $.02

6. Have hyenas attack both of them, followed by a still image of the two of them and some sad music.
