Now that I have had mine for a day and have had a little time to CF & CE it , there are a few observations that I have made and Not Even 1 Concern .
Main Blade is what appears to be a SHORT SHEEPSFOOT . After looking it over , it could not be more than 1/16 inch longer because the tip nest between the 2 pens tangs. Main blade is by eye exactly centered . Neither of the Pen Blades rubs a liner or the Sheepsfoot . Pull on the main blade is maybe a 5 and maybe a 4 - 5 on the pens . I am not an expert on sharpening to pass judgement , but all blades are sharp enough for me . Springs are flush at closed and opened but none are at Half Position . Transitions are flush and smooth at all 4 spots . Transitions are long because of the thickness of the Stag . No ( zero ) scratches on any area of the knife . Only 6 areas of sharp edges or corners . That would be the 3 blade edges and the 3 exposed corners of the blade tangs .
I found it interesting to see where they stamped the Model number , Blade , Number of Blades , and Date . Where they normally put it on the main blade , that is not where they put it on my Congress Whittler that has 3 blades . I say " normally put " is based on me normally buying single blades .
My knife is a 133317 and they put the 133 on the outside of the tang of the Mark Side Pen Blade then the 317 is outside of the tang on the Pile Side Pen .
I also wonder why they did not put a half/stop on the main blade . They did on the 2 pen blades. Not that I care because this will not be a user . I really am surprised how much I like this knife . I have a Case Wharncliffe Whittler that I really like and it is well done but I give the nod to this Northfield Congress Whittler .
