The mail was kind to me today. I like the speaker better after handling these for 10 minutes. I suspect I'll flip back and forth for at least a week before one takes a clear lead.

GEC often changes things. The Production Schedule has a Smooth Ivory Bone and a Muslin Micarta listed for the Tidioute Clerk. But the pictures have a muslin micarta and a rust red bone - neither with any etching. And at this point, it looks like they're finishing up with the Clerks and getting ready to move onto assembling the Whips.
So, I infer there's not going to be a smooth ivory bone and there's not going to be any etching. (Unless there's some product in their shop they didn't take pictures of, or it's something coming later.)
There are two photos in the "What's Happening" section that are labeled "Tidioute Rust Red Clerk," but I think those are labeled incorrectly. Those are the Whip. There's no secondary blade, and the shield is off-centered (it would be centered if these were the Clerk). I'm guessing there will still be a smooth bone Clerk with the Office Knife engraving, but they haven't posted any production photos of it, at least not yet.

Stately looking knife, but I'm going to hold out for Tidioute version.
Chris, awesome pics!
I'm so glad I nabbed one of those, hopefully arriving soon! The long pull and swedge look fantastic.
I lucked out on the ebony, one of the trusty BF dealers came thru!
I've been coon fingering my newly arrived micarta Speaker Jack all morning, loving it. No button tho.
How's our theory holding up? Did you get a badge w the ebony?
These two might be my new favorite pair!
I really love my new knife!(just got it today) It does have some snap. It isn't as snappy as my #15, which is the "snappiest" knife I have, and makes an audible click and clack. But these springs on the #13 are nice. They are not too weak. Though on any knife in general I prefer stern and strong springs. I can tell this knife is going to get some use. The red bone is amazing and the jigging is precise. The long and slender sheepsfoot blade appeals to me more than the whittler's short and fat blade. I hope everyone else is enjoying theirs as much as I am. Nice knives, all!
