It's like a lightly toasted caramel color. Mmmm delicious!!

I'm really digging this year's forum knife. It's going to be the sweet spot right between a TK Cuban and a White Owl..... I agree with Charlie that a clip would look great with the pattern, but I love me some spear blades too!

Philllll, that Robeson is a beauty! I'd like the forum knife to look like that over time.... that's probably amber or chestnut? Of course, they'll have to make it dark initially.

Charlie, thank you so much for your time and effort!

Stockdog is following and will support the members pick. Thanks for all the help with the 2016 project.
Bob

Here is some worm groove on an early GEC #73 Scout.

Since we are commenting on color of the bone...no red or green please:) I think a nice lighter brown would fit the pattern to perfection!

Dark Red or Dark Green would be OK in my view, but Dark Brown is so common...zzzzz. Somebody commented earlier that bone tends to lighten, well maybe but light bone tends to darken and age nicely, think Ivory coloured knives. Or dare I suggest it...why not a Yellowish colour for this knife?? Something different and Yellow bone jigged or Smooth (Rotten Banana colour jigged anybody??) is often liked by people.

Rotten banana would work nicely with wormgroove.
No doubt it will be decided by a democratic show of hands:)
Just an observation but check out the difference between the early#73 and the 2014 #54 posted earlier.
The early one looks kind of basic while the more recent looks a lot better. To me anyway. Bear in mind that early sharp wormgrooving will "ride up with wear" so to speak.:)

Personally, I like the darker colors on jigged bone. It does lighten up with use. Im definitely not a fan of plain yellow.... antique yellow is fine, but rotten banana is pretty darn close to yellow rose. I wouldn't mind seeing Burnt Orange, the color of this Harvester. I can already see a couple of worm grooves in this handle!

I will go dig out that Robeson and get a picture of the back side. I might have another oldie with worm groove too.

Here's a couple more quick photos of the Robeson along with a wormy old Catt

+1 for the rotten banana [emoji4]

I like the examples shown here with the more subtle worm groove. To me, the ones that are not-so-subtle tend to look like someone carved a bobsled track down the side of the knife.

Indifferent here.... I feel sure whatever is chosen will turn out nice and I am usually "in" for the knife. I'm fine with whatever is chosen relative to the three items Waynorth mentioned..... my only preference is a half stop. There is no need for polls.

 +1 Blue also should be considered, it is a rarer color on handles.

Ambers and browns seem to be the classic coloration on jigged worm-groove. So it's understandable if those colors get transposed here. But I wouldn't mind seeing something brighter and unique. I personally like ivory/white, reds, greens.
