New/Recent Hinderer Scores Thread...a place to share and comment.

Thanks FO. But, yeah, yours is what I picture when I think of pond scales and what I was hoping to find. Well, I guess I'm still looking.... :)

Thanks guys. I really like it. I tell you what it cuts through boneless chicken like... A hinderer wharnie through boneless chicken. Effortless.

Jensen...killer ffkn pics bro! That pic gave me the munchies!! :D...mean as hell man. I loooove the handle nuts...gonna have to come up on those when im not dead broke again!

Thanks cool daddy. As you can probably tell I am a big fan of the crusader crosses and darkness skulls. They really add alot to already awesome knives. I suggest picking some up. I need to get some brass ones for my xm-24 next. I'm contemplating a crusader cross for the bottom one then 2 darkness skulls for the other two on the scale side. Might be a bit much though. We will see !!!

AK - sorry you're a little disappointed. It still looks great.

Jensen - Congrats on the Wharnie. Mine seems to have found a home in my pocket as well.

Thanks CMD. Your wharnie is my alltime favorite. I want to copy your set up so bad! I think once the next round of ti scales hit I'll try to score a blue textured ti so I'm not copying you too closely. :)

Thanks DP!

I was thinking it might be a little too much skull for a knife, but no... It's just right :-)

I just got a Gen3 Spanto last week, and it is so amazing. The blasted handle makes it look like it can be such a work horse, but also a piece of art at the same time!

I do have a quick question though. Did the gen 3's have the "HINDERER" name by the pivot machined out to look like this? It's NOT A BIG DEAL AT ALL, just thought I'd ask since I'm newer to RHK. I noticed it after a quick cleaning, and wondered if it was just an earlier gen 3 thing. Like I said before, I don't mind it at all and I'm not trying to stir anything up. Just wanted to ask to see if it was common! Thanks guys!

It isn't a generational thing, I have seen it from time to time. I am sure it has to do with either the tooling, the CNC program, the fixtures, whatever.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I like how the gen 3 has deeper letters than the newer gen, too. Makes the lettering look darker as well!

So after massive obsessing over the last few months, I finally have my first Hinderer coming to me in trade! Thanks to everyone for the encouragement all along, and a huge thank you to Rubicon who offered me his help, expertise and advice in picking this one out. These are pictures from the current owner since it's not here yet (we just made the deal this morning), but hopefully it'll be inbound to me soon!

^ I almost went after that one myself! Nice score. Congrats. I love the blue black frag and sterile blade.

Thanks! I'm beyond excited to get my first in! I had been pretty set that I wanted to get myself either the desert brown, OD green, or pond scum (ha!) scale, but I actually kind of like this one. I certainly like it enough that I don't have to rush out and start accessorizing day one (though lets be honest, I will).

Yes. Making it "Our Own" is a feeling we All can identify with ;) Nice looking Knife, Congrats
