New/Recent Hinderer Scores Thread...a place to share and comment.

Congratulations! I haven't had my first for too long, but I can safely say there is no going back. Enjoy it my friend.

Got this recently, my first Xm18.

The bead blasting is a neat finish, however living in South East Asia means it's a rust magnet :grumpy: Few days of carry and several tiny rust spots later, this happened.

Congratulations and welcome as well! Bead blasting can lead to rust in my part of the world too (though my Hinderer is stonewashed and I haven't seen any marks yet), so I try to practice preventative caution. On all of my blades now I use aegis solutions and it works wonders for prevention. Hopefully it helps and enjoy!

OK, after three years of trying I got called in the lottery this past Saturday at the Plaza Show. I think it is a good one but appreciate any feedback as I am still pretty uneducated when it comes to Hinderers. It is my first and since I never get called, it came as a surprise. (Thanks to Cesar for helping me to pick this one out!)

Very nice, Jakester! Those bronze anodized screws and hardware are something else! I'd love to get my hands on some of those one day.

Actually not sure why but the flash makes the screws/sides of the screws that go through the standoffs look like they are bronze colored too. They are not. They look stainless in the scale side and frame side. The one near the clip in particular is just reflecting light and it matches the two adjacent to the lanyard hole.

I think the copper standoffs do look very cool with the translucent green scale and bronzed frame.

Thanks to a SUSPECT this one shipped out to me today. Got a good enough deal (a titanium scale more than an xm-18 direct from the ranch:cool:) where this one will be a user. I just have to get through the first couple scratches on the beadblasted blade.... and then theres no looking back! Go Red Sox!!!!

Nice one, looks very clean! I like the subtle contrast between the frame and the clip.

Thanks, I had to cancel a Busse order last minute for this one, couldn't pass it down. I could not believe it sat around for as long as it did..

Good choice extrastout. That is a great looking knife and it will serev you well. I have yet to snag a nonflipper but I may in the future just to try it out. PS: Slicers are the S**t.

Thanks, I had a 3" non flipper slicer a couple years ago (for the Ranch pricing) but had to sell it for first and last on another apartment (girl problems :thumbdn:). I have been looking for another 3" non flipper for a good price but kinda gave up...until recently :victorious:. I've had the 3.5's too, but just find the 3" a way more practical edc user. Maybe if I had large hands the 3.5" would be worth the weight/pocket space.

Awesome knife Jakester!!! Congrats..

Got my copper standoffs in this morning and love them. Here is my copper / carbon wharnie!

Can't even tell you how many times that crusader nut has been in my shopping cart. :D

Do it buddy. I got one and liked it so much that I put one on all of my XMs. Besides looking cool they actually serve a functional purpose as well, especially with smooth scales. They give your thumb something to grab while drawing from your pocket. It actually makes a big difference.

I have a silver cross on my bronze ano scale, a silver on my textured cf scale, a bronze on my ti frag, and a bronze on my black g10. I'll post pics later. They match pretty good. My bronze crusader looks great with my copper standoffs. They don't match completely but compliment each other.
