New/Recent Hinderer Scores Thread...a place to share and comment.

Had a triple-header Hinderer infusion today!
Thanks to an awesome member of our community I finally acquired the mythical Pond Scale :D

The bottom/left scale is the one I just got, the other one is an example of Pond that I'd never seen before. That is until I traded for it sight-unseen. I'm convinced it is actually Pond G-10 and not yellow, there's a hint of green in the choil area and the back of the scale is green as well - just like the one I just got. However, as you can see, there's a complete lack of green elsewhere on the scale.

Next, I doubled my Wharnie herd with an awesome satin-finished custom. This is my first XM for 2014, but certainly not the last. Interestingly, this one was NOT supposed to arrive today - I did have a wharnie inbound (hint hint), but it wasn't this one...

The bronze ano'd lockside on the custom matches the bronze job I had the ranch do for my prod wharnie, that sealed the deal for me when I ran across it..

Oh, and my Hinderer stocking cap arrived today as well ;)

Thanks F.O.! I'm actually more excited about the scale than the new wharnie at the moment :) (Then again, with the new scale it feels like I just got TWO new wharnies ;) )
 
I know the feeling of scoring something you really want (FDE DLC) so I'm very happy for you right now, S. I put scum with my bronze anno 3.5 Slicer and love the way the colors look together.
 
So kewl Shane! Pond and Bronze anodized is absolutely my favorite combo. Congrats on the great score!
 
Now that is an awesome pond scale! Congrats buddy!looks great on that knife too. Maybe the perfect combo.

Lol, yep I'm acquainted w/ "pond scum envy"!! Especially when you got yours David - I was super stoked for you, but also may have been plotting your demise ;)

I will say, I owe it entirely to an awesome forum bro and it just reinforces what a great community we have here.. I'm grateful to be part of this group, especially when I dip into some of the other sub-forums..

I am really digging the pond/bronze combo. This wharnie is my go-to 95% of the time (although I have been carrying my slicer a bit more lately) and it's for sure gonna get all of the pocket time for a while..
 
Wow that yellow/orange/pond is really something! If I were you I'd keep that one close- of course if you decide not to I can definitely name at least one person (me) who'd be interested.
 
NJ, are you referring to the almost solid yellow one? If so, yeah it's an interesting shade - not what I was looking for in Pond but unique in it's own way..

I'll keep you in mind if I decide to let it go :)
 
That's the one. Between my phone and general terrible ability to identify colors I can't get a good read on the color, but it's one of a kind and that certainly adds to the coolness. And please do! If you want to unload I'm here :D
 
Gotcha :thumbup: The crappy lighting in my office when I took the pics I'm sure didn't help. The color is kind of a dark mustard yellowish, with a hint of a greenish tinge..

Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, as you say it is kinda unique and I'm kind of a hoarder - especially when it comes to Hinderer gear :o
