I'm going to play round with my parts/pieces if freetime allows this weekend...I'm really wondering how pondScum is going to look w/ FDE...I'm guessing...pretty darn good.
 
N2K - looking forward to seeing that combo, especially as an owner of the scum. Hum doesn't quite sound right, oh well.

I set things side by side for a preview of sorts...it looks alright. Think I might keep the blue standoffs in it too...IDK. Pics to follow as soon as I get around to it.
 
^^ Looking forward to the pics. Pond looks great against bronze ano, I'm thinking the FDE will work well too.
 
Guys, just scored a 3.5 Slicer Flipper finally. Just got it in today, and replaced the blue scale with THESE accessories!











And here it is with big brother!


 
Oh yeah. I've been used to looking at my non-flippers for quite a while now so I forgot what a flipper looks like on an XM! I love it. I'm glad I came across a brand new one from a dealer at such an amazing price. There's some great people out there!

Ok, guys...if you can forgive poorly lit, kinda...well, not the best images...I'll share the Scum on FDE.

IDK how much I like it, I think it looks good but also think I may not be done. And as S said, the Scum was looking great with the bronze where it just was before moving it to the FDE.

Enough words, here we go...

Thanks to Prelude I have my first taste of Hinderer CF! Honestly the textured CF is so absolutely impressive that I have no desire to own any other scale- it is absolutely incredible. Be prepared for gratuitous pictures either later tonight (after a few drinks) or tomorrow in recovery mode. Thanks again to Prelude and to everyone who convinced me of how awesome it is. Next step is getting full bronze everything for it.
 
p92 that that flipper with CF and Bronze so and screws is very cool, maybe I should expand my scale collection and add fibre to the diet!

N2K yes, yes and yes, big fan of scum as you know, but having it on FDE takes it to a new level. I don't own any FDE DLC but need to keep my eyes open for a deal. Just when I thought I was set for awhile you guys post more tantalizing Hinderer pictures.
 
FO - I highly recommend the text CF! Best of both worlds - grippy and good-looking!!

N2K - I agree w/ FO, Scum+FDE = awesome :D

I have an XM w/ FDE lockside in the works, it's coming w/ an OD green which should look good in it's own right but now I can't decide if I want to put my pond on it or text CF (or blue-black, that would look nice to I think)… too many choices :cool:

FO... I agree with the other fellas, get a textured CF. You won't regret it!!

N2K... The FDE DLC looks great with Pond on it! But I think I would go with CF on it... The contrast looks better IMO
 
Thanks for the thoughts, guys.

I'll get around to a better photo soon. I think we're all on a similar page...in that it looks fine, but so do other options...to include the green that came on it...this was just change for the sake of "I wonder...".
