New run of 54s

It would seem that USPS has been quite busy today delivering 54's!!! I also was the recipient of a mail run. The M&G's are an early Fathers Day Gift from Pam! :D

Dang, these M&G's are some beautiful knives. I hesitated at that price-point, but now....man, sure are purdy. Nice job, Half/Stop.

I received the honey bone #54 today from M&G. Without a doubt this is the most beautiful knife I have purchased to date. "Caveat" - I do not own any custom knives, only production ones. So, having said that, I was absolutely thrilled with this knife. M&G can and should be very proud of their efforts and the folks at GEC are maintaining very high standards. Will never part with this one!

@cbr1000, I was very sorry to hear about the loss of your shipped knives. That is just terrible.

Ron, beautiful lineup. I really like the coloring of your M&G Honey Bone. That one is especially nice.

Bob, thanks my friend! I am extremely happy with the M&G examples I received! You would have laughed if you had saw me ordering them. Pam and I were coming home from town last Saturday when I showed her some of the beautiful M&G's that had been posted. She was driving and I was surfing! I had hesitated to purchase these because to be honest my knife budget lately would rival Trumps proposed budget! Being the wonderful sweet loving beautiful wife that she is, she said why don't you buy those for your Fathers Day gift. :D So, I immediately said pull this car over! She pulls in the Cracker Barrel parking lot and I go to work. When I placed the order I got the next to last of the Ebony models. They had very limited stock on the Honey Bone. :D I am blessed in so many ways! ;)

Great photos and beautiful line-up half-stop!

Thanks 007!:)

Quick photos out of the tubes and in the fading light. Really happy with these, now which one to designate as a user??

All beauties! As to which one to designate as a user; I would have an extremely hard time keeping that Appaloosa Bone bottled up. I'd be pulling that sweetie out of my pocket twenty times a day!

Due to financial setbacks of an unpleasant kind, I had to forgo the opportunity of getting one of those Appaloosa Bones as shown above. My loss will certainly be somebody else's gain....:(

This is the only Big Jack I picked up from the new run and I have to say that I really like the single blade version. It is slim enough to ride in my back pocket and not feel bulky, but is still a substantial knife. I have a two blade version from 2014 and there a marked difference in the girth. That one is usually carried in a CK leather clip slip.
Construction nice and tight with no gaps. Pull is a bit hard at almost an 8, yet oddly there is a soft closure with little snap.
Blade very sharp as have been all of my recent GEC knives. I stropped it a bit and it has a fine edge for what light cutting chores I do.
I really like the spear blade and the long pull.
Nice deep jigging. Dye is a little pink to white on the corners of the pile side, but that's okay. I'm thinking it's more of a strawberry than blood red.
In short, I like this knife a lot and it will see plenty of carry time.

Thanks for this thread! I kept coming back and looking at it and began to wonder why my notification hadn't come in. Well, it had and I missed it back on the 22nd. My email program is a convoluted affair and I miss stuff regularly....

My Burlap Micarta from DLT is on it's way!!!! :)

Beautiful knife and photo Ratbert! The slim profile and larger size make for a terrific edc IMO.

Half/Stop, which of the M&Gs is your favorite....ebony or bone?

I am particularly fond of Ebony handled knives. Ebony is actually one of my personal favorites and the darker the better. That being said, the Honey colors and the textures on the M&G handles in this run are really beautiful! I am extremely pleased with my example. So if I have to pick a favorite between these two it will be the Honey Bone version.:)

Hey folks,

I just received my 54 beaver tail in the mail and couldn't be more excited to open it up. The scales and overall pattern are fantastic. I really like the way the jigged wood turned out, and the beaver shield is great. It is truly a great knife.

My new red jigged bone arrived today, It is gorgeous. Better than I had hoped for. Love the size, love the weight. It feels solid and substantial. Strong pull. A definite keeper! Need more like it. Wish I had ordered two!

Kudos to DLT for making it happen.
