Indeed the opening itself is very smooth(really ought to be after I put some Chris Reeve Fluorinated Grease between the washers, on the lockbar, and on the ball detent itself). Despite the fact that the lockbar can be pushed further right, the lockbar itself is so ludicrously FAT that there is ZERO blade play in either direction(including up and down), and the lock won't disengage no matter how hard I whack that spine(even with the grease).
I like the blade shape and how it almost bends forward a little, making for much easier cutting. Kinda makes me look forward to the Kershaw Tilt even more:thumbup:. The brick G10 is certainly...unique. Not as aggressive as the G10 on my 0350CB, but not exactly slippery as well.
My favorite part is looking at the knife from the titanium side, as it almost looks like a different knife entirely. I can also appreciate the open back design as well as the use of T10 size torx screws, making for easy maintenance. This is a knife that is meant to be used for YEARS, and then passed onto your children, and their children as well. Which might be overkill given the rate at which we knife nuts buy new knives, but I suppose there's no such thing as "too much".
