nick, my girlfriend was peeking over my shoulder at this picture this morning saw my name on hte blade and exclaimed.....

"You picked a terrible handle...at least that Michael guy got some kind of wood instead of cardboard!!" "You cheaped out again!":p:thumbup:

That's funny, Jeff - I was thinking that I had missed the cardboard option!
Hey Nick the guards look a little more chunky then before - are these the hybrid version?

Yeah, that is a hoot about the handle....although I'm sure Nick could make some kinda Laminated/polished/cardboard super-handle if he wanted.....:p

Cardboard Nickarta?

You guys crack me up. :)

David and Bobby, thank you very much for the kind words. It's nice to hear good things from people that have actually had a chance to handle it. :)

I thought I'd post these up since people keep saying stuff about how you're not only buying a knife but a little of the maker as well... And this stuff is a lot of who I am. Just like my profile says, "family and anything outside" If it's outside with family, even better! :) Despite my apparent morbid obesity   :foot: I am still very active. Angi twisted my arm into taking one day off of the 4 day week-end to go hiking near Government Camp, Oregon.

She and I had done this same hike before, and it is well worth the effort and sore feet that ensue. ;) :)

The ridge in the background is where we were headed. This was not the trailhead, rather the point at which the trail passes Mirror Lake. You'll see in the last photos (from the other side of the lake) why it earned this name! :)

Thanks for looking :) It just seems unfair not to share what a wonderful place we live in, here in the Northwest!!! :)

Beautiful scenery Nick. I have been many places in my life, including a few overseas, but never to the northwest. Maybe I need to add your area to my "Bucket-List".

Enjoy my friend, and thanks for sharing.

Robert

Morbidly obese?... From the last picture I saw of you it looks like you've added about 50lbs of "pure unadulterated blitz-the-quarterback-and-rip-his-head-off muscle, Russell!" :D

Yeah, yeah, Nick. "The Beautiful North West", my ass! Take away all those gorgeous mountains and majestic trees and the beautiful flora and fauna, lakes and annual rain fall, and what do you have???...............................................TEXAS!!!!:D

Paul

Thanks Nick for sharing a most gorgeous part of the country. I know what you're saying. I myself get up to Oregon quite a bit as I have a close friend that lives in the Siskiyou mountains!

Move'n right along :) They're all coming together nicely at this point :)

Here's what the numbers look like

I've never had this many knives this close to completion at once, let alone in such a short amount of time (short for me ;) ).

Looking Good--giddyup, compadre! :D

I might be more excited than the ten recipients.

Thanks for posting that Joe, and thank you everyone for getting in touch with me!

I have the first 3 of #1-10 done, and am working hard to get the rest of them done. I'm hoping for the end of the week-end, but that's going to be determined if some materials show up tomorrow. I had 3 feet of stainless and 12 Corby bolts which I THOUGHT was more than enough, but you screw a couple things up and BANG, you're short on materials. :o

Thanks again everyone, this has been a lot of fun and a great learning experience for me!!! :)
