My dog is kinda a sissy in this cold. When we take her outto do her business she will start limping around because her paws are getting cold. We actually have little boots that we put on her when it is below zero.

I sometimes wish our dogs were more sensitive to the cold - especially with this weather.

Our new pup Sophie doesnt seem to mind the cold as much as we do. It kinda sucks right now because she being so young when you let her out all she wants to do is play instead of doing her business, which sucks for both of us because we have to stand there in the cold and her play time gets cut short. Sure will be looking to forward to warmer weather so we can get her out on the trails and wear her out.

Lucky is really good about doing her business when it is super cold out, but when its nice she likes to run around the yard sniffing everything a time or two. I guess we are lucky that she doesn't make us stand outside freezing our butts off.

Aren't rotrweilers supposed to be more of a warm weather dog? If so, it is odd that the cold doesnt bother them. Lucky is a lab and they are pretty well insulated and are supposed to do well in the cold, but she doesn't..... go figure.

Rotties tend to be cold weather dogs. The hot humid summer weather is what slows them down.

Nice to hear you're getting back into it. We're just about to start a new training cycle. Hoping to get fit enough to bag some projects this season. We'll likely head down to Tennessee in March for some bouldering and then out to Ten Sleep Wyoming for some sport climbing in the summer. Do you have any trips planned?

Nothing yet, I might try to make the new river rendezvous this year. I went to 7 and 8, but haven't been there since. This is all assuming there is one this year.

Well I learned something new today. For some reason I thought they were more of a warm weather dog......I must have been thinking about another breed.

Our littlest dog hates the cold. The white one, Maggie, can deal with it, in fact she adores playing in the snow, but she will snuggle up in their doghouse with the mattress and cedar chips if it's really nasty out, and just sort of peek out the door waiting for the weather to clear. The big redheaded one, Rocky, is so goldang dumb he literally does not have the sense to come in out of the rain. He'll just sit there on the deck while it pours on him like nothin's happening.

I don't seem to have any pictures of Snow, the little black one... I'll have to remedy that...

I miss spring:(

It'll be here soon. Not as soon for you as for me, though... :p

I definitely have to agree on Rush. Don't get me started on Slayer... the interpersonal weirdness over the last couple years has really left a bad taste in my mouth. Which is a shame... I was never a particularly huge Slayer fan (always liked and respected 'em, but never carved their logo into my arm or anything) until I saw 'em live (twice)... good gravy, they put on one heckuva show both times. RIP Jeff Hanneman.

Rush has a special history here in San Antonio, we had a DJ years ago that played a lot of great Canadian bands.. Rush, Triumph, Moxy..to name a few. Anyway, i have listened to them my whole life practically, 2112 was the soundtrack of my formative years, lol. Slayer I got into in the late 80's.. and mainly because of Dave Lombardo, still one of my favorite drummers, not sure what happened with all that mess, but I still listen to them often and still some of the best shows I saw in my misspent youth..

Nice collection WorldWood! crazy what some of those beads go for, I used to know these Cuban brother's that carved beads and tchotchke kind of stuff.. wish I still knew where they were, they could carve this kinds of stuff all day long..

Finally got some real snow here. Only about 4" but that's more than I've seen in a year or so. But it's supposed to melt off in a couple days and get into the 50's. Weird weather down here. Sunday I was working on my truck in a t-shirt in the late afternoon, Monday it was 20 degrees all day and then is snowed. Soon it'll dang near be t-shirt weather again.
