Fettled my Optimus 111B tonight. Cleaned it up a bit, but it was already in decent shape:

Removed the tank/burner:

Remove the pump:

Use the NRV tool to remove the NRV:

The NRV:

Apart. The little black piece, called a pip, gets brittle, and lets fuel in the pump tube, which will ignite, and create a blazing inferno:

New installed:

Back together with new lead washer, and anti-seize grease applied:

Reinstalled it, changed out the fuel cap seal, polished it very slightly, put it back together, and primed it up:

Success:

About as low a flame you can get, without it going out:

Took a shot immediately after extinguishing. Slightly blurry, but still a decent photo:

Yet another fun project.

It’s sure nice you’re able the find the parts you need for those stoves

I could watch video of stoves being rebuilt, without voice, just watching the work being done. There's a guy I watch camping in storms, he doesn't talk, he just sets up his gear and builds fire with the sound of rain from the storm. Very relaxing.

I want (but have never shot) a P220 Carry Elite. I'd go DAO.

That's how I feel when I rebuild them. Very therapeutic.

Is that the DAK trigger? I've never shot one.

No, I've heard terrible things about that trigger. I'd want straight-up Double-Action-Only. Want the trigger pull to be the same every time. I think they offer it that way too.

I miss my ranger -- and the new version doesn't help.
That was the 3rd Ranger I had, but unfortunately, it was a lemon. I liked the truck, but it's been costing too much to fix. I got this Journey, 12 years newer, and the payment is only $14 more per month. Of course, for a longer term, but still. Also has 65,000 less miles.

A couple of my H&K's have the LEM trigger, those are DAO but the hammer spring stays cocked after each shot even though the hammer stays down. It's a decent trigger that can be made legit by putting a few competition parts in it. I'd like a P229 with something like that or SAO which I know they do make.

Yeah, I prefer SAO or DAO.
Gimme 1911 or a DA revolver (or a SA revolver! :D)
If I could get my SIG to act like a DA revolver it would be awesome. By forcing myself to practice DAO on target and in IDPA, I learned to operate it quite well. A long, smooth, even, consistent pull works really well under stress, and I feel less concerned about light-trigger surprises when small motor skills go out the window. (the target pistols are another story ;))
