So you are implying that everyone who watches the TV show does not read? Why don't you grow up a little and try to be more civil?

Back on topic: I loved season one, and can't wait to watch season two once it is available on Netflix. Were there a lot of Busses in the first season?

I have got interested in this show in it's second season, but I am getting a little overloaded with the "we're in constant mortal danger so let's spend 90% of our time screaming at one another" thing.

Whats up with the wife stirring up trouble in the end...thats the mans best friend since childhood...its not like he's a stranger that Rick can just kill....women....always causing trouble for men!:eek::eek:

Shane put the entire group in danger by unleashing the zombies from the barn, with absolutely no need. Any one of them could have sat in a loft and killed all of them without any danger to anyone. He threatened the lives of the entire group. On top of (probably from the view of the group who worry about it) shot otis and left him for dead (which he did), he's also becoming more volatile than he always has been, constantly threatening rick and laurie's marriage, pointed and held a gun at ricks head in the early episodes, constantly says rick isn't doing enough and wants to be the 'man of the house' with laurie and carl... so with all of that, is she stirring up trouble or is keeping herself, rick, and everyone else safe by doing what should have been done the second shane opened that barn, i.e. shooting him in the face?

sigh... I know that was really caustic sounding, but seriously. If I was there, no one, and I mean no one lets loose 20 walkers in front of my group knowingly when there are safer alternatives. Let alone the dog piling of other reasons he's presenting them with.

Not to mention Shane told Laurie that Rick was dead and they were hooking up..... I have my own issues with that one, Laurie hooking up with Shane that fast etc..... Rick should have shot him just for that alone.

But yeah Shane really needs to go one way or another.

If I were in Ricks shoes, just because of who I am, I probably would have handled that as he did. specifically regarding Shane and Laurie getting together. In the end, Laurie is with Rick and that counts for a lot. I'd be less obliged to be okay with his continued advances. Him lying about rick being dead starts getting into bad territory as a matter of personal and group safety in an apocalypse/survival setting. He's a leader/enforcer type, and instability, untempered aggression and perpetual lying for personal gain are not attributes I'd want in that position.

I know what you mean, those types are never really good leaders in the end.

They're perfect for dramatic plot devices in zombacolypse fiction, though :)
As Dale said, people like Shane are made for that world.

I would have put him down though being who I am. ;)

Here's the thing though...with at least one more group of hostile survivors in the region, how much firepower is Ricks group giving up by offing Shane? They need him if things get ugly as he's one of their best gunners. Deril doesn't seem to have a ton of loyalty to the group. I think he could leave and be just fine on his own, especially if his brother shows up again.

How much fight are they giving up for stability? I think ultimately Shane needs to get his act together or go, but they need to make sure the immediate area is secure first.

I think they're setting Rick up to turn into more of a harsh leader. He's acknowledging that his desire to do the right thing isn't making things better, and the way he handled the situation in the bar and ripping the kids leg off the fencepost seems like he's toughening up a little.

Seriously? Why post this? Piss off.

A sense of humor, might look at finding one, I hear that its worth the trouble of visiting comedy clubs and reading joke books. Honestly.

Look at Jody's post history and you will never see a disrespectful tone or a cross word for anyone.

It was a joke.

It was this kind of defensive behavior that caused a LOT of trouble here fairly recently, lets please not go there again. This place is getting fun again, I dont want to see it spiral down once more. :(

If something inflammatory has to be explained so that people know it is a joke... perhaps it shouldn't be said to begin with?

I think it may be that he is getting to the point that he has taken enough crap and now he will do what needs to be done.

Rick probably needs help from an Asian female ninja IMO.

He should kill Shane and put one in the noggin for shits and giggles.

And glenn being the likeable trigger shy guy that he his should stay on the farm with his new love.

My 2cents .

Steve
