You have a good memory sir. Yep, went from bad to disaster in a pretty short time.

Like my wife said, you really don't quit your job, you quit your boss.

Wow!!
That’s an awesome pic!
Thanks. We do a lot of hunting and fishing, and I like to share his results and how he is improving over time. I try to teach him well.

Here is a Black Buck he got three days ago. It's fairly small horned, but we go for meat over trophy.

Here is pic of him preparing heart and liver stir fry. Yes, I know I need to get him a better chef knife haha!D59073E4-A29E-4C2B-B837-C5A77E906410.jpeg7804B572-D834-4F72-96A8-D8DE185359F3.jpeg

Walked out of my job of 20 years today. So sick of the anxiety associated with that effing place. They hire these young people at damn near the same rate it took me all that time to accumulate. They come in, and do nothing, and for whatever reason, get away with it. I'm old school. I come in and work my butt off, but it's never good enough. When I had covid, they had to hire 3 temps to do what I do myself. I had anxiety so bad this morning, but then a calm came over me I can't explain. Cleaned up, gathered my things, and walked right the eff out. Gave up quite a bit, but it sure felt good to get the hell out of there. That place isn't worth my health and well being.

Best of luck on the job hunt Dubz.
Life is too short to work at a job you don’t like. I hope you find something engaging that you can enjoy. Or at least something that you don’t dislike! Haha
At this point there’s no reason to settle. Find something that works for you.

Thanks man. I just need a little job for four more years.

napa is frequently looking for delivery drivers - don't know what they pay in your area, but it's decent exercise and not a huge amount of stress.

Holy crap, good for you Dubz!!!
I know that feeling! YES, you quit your boss! 💪

Good luck with the search, and I hope there's some quality downtime in between.

Every Deer I shot never ever had a liver. But one time my mother spotted a liver that must of been blown out of the deer I shot was in a tree. When she was going to shoot a branch it was on. But a god sent raven grabbed it and flew away with it! That was the only deer that apparently that had a horrible tasting liver in it.

My 10 year old grandson got himself in trouble the last day of school so no baseball game for him . He stayed with me since we are close to the stadium. Of course no fun allowed. As most of you know I have fought foot issues and even though this last surgery seems to have helped I am not 100% . So Eli helped me clean and reorganize the garage and shed . The big thing is my garage is in the basement ,my Gravely Professional 12 developed an issue I pushed it into the garage . With the 40 inch mower deck it is north of 500 lbs. We pulled it out with my old craftsman garden tractor took an old fridge out of the garage etc. We moved nearly every price of lawn equipment I have . I have 3 times what I need for a half acre lot . Swept and cleaned up. Then moved smaller mowers in the garage gravely into the shed until I can get it worked on he also picked up trash and knocked down some weeds. This got it where I can get my Grillo ( Italian made two wheel tractor) out so I may able to plant a late garden I can get my bicycles out to try to get back to riding and can sit in the garage and smoke sparrows and starlings with an air rifle. Of course before we started we sat down and talked about what he did in a calm discussion why you just can't do stuff like that . Why we had to work instead of doing fun stuff etc. I made it clear that I love him and have faith in his ability to do better . Once done helping, he told me he would do better understood why he shouldn't have gotten in trouble . My wife asked if he had fun he answered no but we got stuff done that helps Papaw . He's a good kid and I can talk to him without acting upset my daughter can't his dad has went off the deep end (divorced) I may go get him for a weekend soon just to get him out of the electronics and outside

here here. the great masses have been doing this a lot lately, apparently, the great quittening or something... a big exodus of people who can't stand the status quo, and are leaving for their health and happiness.

way to go!

fruit adventures for you going forth...

Thanks man. The day after I walked out, which was Thursday, I had a hell of a lead for a job, making the same money. Money wasn't why I quit, asshole boss was why I quit. When I had covid, they had to hire three temps to keep up with my job, haha. Hope they have fun finding someone that worked like I did. A young person certainly won't. Always exceptions to the rule, but for the most part, young people want to get on their cell phones all day and just want the paycheck.

I called a personal work stoppage on Friday. Caused a bit of a stir.
Was very upset w/ the situation and took myself out of it. Should be interesting conversations on Tuesday.

It’s rare to find millennials that actually want to work. I work very physical jobs, been doing construction since I was 12. Currently I do state road work and excavation. I Take pride in a hard days work. I can’t just stand around and be on my phone all day. I’m actually lucky that I get along well with my boss. If your job is affecting your mental well being, then I 100% agree with getting yourself out of that environment. You did a good thing for yourself The Warrior The Warrior
