Had my interview this morning. It went well. So well, in fact, that I start my new job on Monday.

Congrats and good luck on the new job. I hope it goes smooth and you find the work enjoyable.

And probably most importantly, I hope the people you work with are good co-workers with good leadership.

Thanks guys. You can tell it's going to be night and day different than my old job. The interviewer showed me around, and introduced me to a lot of the people there. Showed what I'd be doing, and introduced me to my new co-workers. So, going in Monday, I'll have already met them, and have a good idea what I'd be doing. The drive was about 37 minutes, so not horrible.

If you mean the job, it's a warehouse job. Huge warehouse, but part of it is broken up into sections. The section I'll be working in is air conditioned, so that's a bonus for me. I don't do well in the heat.

Thanks guys. It actually worked out great. As I said before, my final paycheck was for 5 weeks, and I'm a half week into that, so in reality, I won't miss a single paycheck. Can't ask for more than that.

Bad storm went through last night. Power was out. A tree in our back yard broke in half, and is laying on the house, and incidentally, the main wire going to the house. Waiting for the power company to show up and remove it. We do have power, but i have everything turned off, except for the refrigerator, and sump pump. Had the a/c on, but it keeps drawing everything down.
