Noah's Snark

Mid nineties all week around here. But last night, while hanging out in the late evening, we saw lightning in the west.

Today, it started sprinkling, then came a bit of thunder. They both slowly built, until the crashes of fury and the deafening roar of the torrent sent the fearful to flight. One woman and her two dogs were struck and killed over in Pico Rivera.

By noon, everything dried up.
Well, I'm jealous of the rain, but not the dying.

Here us April Showers Brings May's Mosquito Mobs. So we solved the mosquito problem by making April take a bath and not a shower!

We've got an Aussie shepherd who's anxious about storms. Last night was bad enough swmbo got up at 2 and fed him some promethazine - then she relocated to the guest room because she was tired of him laying on her.
I got him calmed down and was able to drift off for an hour - then the new storm lit off with a really close lightning strike at 5:15.
Old dog flipped inside out and the 2 younger ones came running. One cleared me, the other didn't.
20 min later, I gave up and got up.

About 15 min ago, it had stopped raining long enough they all wanted out. As I opened the back door, someone upstairs decided to flush the clouds again.
Hoping it's done in another half hour, it's hard to work stuck inside with 3 anxious dogs who want to go out and take care of business

damn.
I broke the snark.
on the plus side, it's 30 degrees cooler this morning, so I'll probably head out to the forge for a bit after I feed SWMBO.
Yesterday afternoon I got to spend a chunk of quality time with a parangatang trimming back honeysuckle in the yard so I could mow -- I have an extra 8' of yard along the NW edge, now.

Roofer just stopped by to give us an estimate for our roof. Just 2 small holes right next to each other. $250, can't complain about that. We got all the branches cleaned up yesterday. All I have left to do is saw the big pieces down, borrow my brother's log splitter, and get some firewood going.

Low 90’s here in the PNW.
Whew… we’re not used to this.
Especially with all the cooler weather and rain we’ve had this Spring.
Got the pop-up canopy on the back porch for shade. Amazing how ice cold beer tastes so much better on a hot day! :D

Right at triple digits, yea.

Today I got a super-cool, Hawaiian, hand made, tuna trolling lure. It's a 7" model called the Black Pearl, Ali'i Fish, with an inverted head from Tsutomu Lures. Beauty! He designs them, in the traditional style, to target Ahi, or Yellowfin tuna.

Glad to hear the cost wasn't too crazy.

Why are you sending it back?

My Ruger came back June 9th my diabetes medicine has been out of kilter and I am just getting back to ok . I finally got out to test the little gun today. It ran 400+ rounds with 1 fail to feed including stuff that wouldn't feed at all before. It run CCI and Winchester standard velocity well enough to hunt with .

No doubt, she went out with a bang!

Getting set to dig back into a kitchen faucet replacement this morning, yay plumbing! Shouldn't be too bad.

I ran into an intranet, clothing retailer hailing from Britain who actually knows motorcycling gear for the road. Got some decent armored denim from him. He calls his business `motolegends`, nuff said.
~Oh look, time to get to work. 🤐

Wonder if I should swapple the Dogwood Becker Knife scales to the other knives...maybe one to a BK9 from the BK5 blue with green glow stones in blue and the BK two, clear and green glowie stoners to the BK4.

Then they would be good to glow!

Took the BK40 out for a morning roll and to offer support to my brother in law as he pedaled up the grade.

Too early for this night owl. o_O

I don't think that's a BK40 and I don't think that would fit in the sheath on the belt.
Fortunately the folder has a wire clip, ergo, no need for a sheath. (It's a limited edition, transformer, moto-knife.)
