Northwoods #79, a dream come true?

Oh my! Way cool!!

Thanks!

What is the wood on that one?

It's Jobillo, which looks different in every picture I've seen (mine is the only jobillo-clad knife I've actually viewed in person).

I love the crazy quilt coloring and grain patterns in mine. More pictures of it (and other Workhorse Whittlers) here, a thread for the 3-spring #79s.

What is the material on the bottom one?

I hope they'll be available soon.

That looks like Mammoth Bark Ivory to me and I really like it. Waiting to see the prices on these but I am very interested in a few of the covers. Shaping up to be a great release and most likely my first Northwoods. Hopefully the will ship next week  :D

Am I too late for these? I'd really like to give money to somebody for one of these... GEC SFOs have been confusing the heck out of me lately.

They have not shipped from GEC yet or atleast not posted on knivesshipfree yet. Maybe Derrick will be along to update us at some point in time this weekend :)

Thank you very much rockgolfer! I'll keep an eye on the KSF site and hopefully this Derrick fellow will chime in!

No problem at all JSD. OKBohn is the screen name for Derrick, the owner of knivesshipfree. Have not personally done business with him yet but from what the folks around here have to say, I have no worries

I have been out of town (and still am) for the last couple days. I am doing a wedding back in Oklahoma for a friend.

Anyway, these are going to start shipping to me next week, so we should have some up on the site late next week. Look for some really spectacular covers on these.

Had a look at the GEC site just now, there are some SENSATIONAL looking handles on this knife. Some of them I don't even know what they are, except better than good:D:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

Sweet...I have been kind of off the grid for a few days. I am on my way over there right now to take a look. :)

Derrick are the new Camel Bone models available? I cant find any of them on your site.

I've been keeping my eyes peeled for the #79 or Northwoods Fremont from KSF and they became available this afternoon. I have wanted a knife decked out in Mammoth Ivory ever since I found that such was done. Knives done in Mammoth were either way out of my price range or not to my liking. But this one? Perfect price, perfect look, perfect dealer.

The hard part was choosing the knife. Each is very individual and each beautiful in its own way. And what a great looking blade! It took awhile to pick the right one for me, but with a little help from the Wife, I got it.

Could not stand to wait, so I chose priority shipping instead of free shipping. Not really much difference, I know. But still...

Pics to come when this beauty arrives. I don't usually get overly excited about a new knife beyond the new knife syndrome, but I'm like a kid at Christmas. :D

BTW - also available in Elephant Ivory, Calico Bone, Camel Bone, & Burnt Stag.

Thanks Derrick & Greg for making this knife available. You guys rock!
