Northwoods Bear Lake

Careful guys, "lolly scramble" was used by Tsar Bomba before he exploded.

Lol, exactly. I felt bad for him, but in the end he lost his mind and was glad he got the boot! He complained about a bunch of things but my recollection was his primary issue was with obtaining TC Barlows.

This is a very funny thread! I don't own any Northwoods knives but wouldn't mind adding one if it was a good fit for me. All of the comments about the lolly scramble and feeding frenzy seem to sum up the rush to buy almost any new release perfectly!

I'm glad you got a laugh out of it, that was the intention... Well, I also had hoped to pester Derrick enough that he might give us an update! I enjoy talking about knives on GEC's production list and trying to guess what's coming up next from them. The reality is, whatever a Steve is, is already a done deal and talking about it should be fun. Anyway, that's my perspective on the whole thing. I should add, the images posted are from Derrick (you know, laughing with him - not at him and all that). I'm sure he will read this and give us an update before too long. Guessing from prior updates "Steve" will be done fairly soon.

Remember, don't play with your Steve while wearing an evolution shirt = bandage on finger

It's easier to get a TC Barlow than a Northwoods.

I got a very lucky break last month Bob.Macchina did a trade with me His Northwoods Broadway Jack for my GEC #16 Canoe. It's the one im useing for my avatar. It's my first Northwoods and I love it. Oh and just to keep things on the right subject I have been wondering what the heck the Steve is going to turn out to be too lol.

And I would like to step up to the plate and state: I'm in for a "Bob" anytime they go into production. Muttering, prolly too late on the danged Steve anyways. :D
Thanks, Neal
Ps-would the "Bob" have a bail? I like bails. In my pockets, where they belong.

I was just on the site and can't seem to find a production schedule anywhere. Can anyone tell me where to find this? And, I'm assuming there is no guess as to a date when we should start looking for these? Thanks for the help, I look forward to this knife. I myself am definitely trying for a bone, and hopefully even a red linen.

I wonder if the recently added run of 74s might be related to these new Steves?

The Northwoods Esky Zulu is on the same frame, so maybe? In a way I hope not because I have an Esky Zulu already, and a Northwoods on the 13 frame sounds interesting.

Although, I don't have an Esky Zulu in stag...

Wonder what happened with the talk of Northwoods from other manufacturers or was that just the Bark River stuff?

Here are the scales that Derrick posted previously as the covers for the next Northwoods:

Don't know, good question. Derrick post a partially covered picture of a Bark River friction folder not too long ago...
